Zack's POV

I watched her leave and got in the car afterward.

"To the hotel," I informed Yannis. I had decided to stay here for a few days. I needed to find out the truth before going back. I closed my eyes and leaned back as I listened to the music.

When I closed my eyes, her face appeared in front of me, her beautiful smile

When I closed my eyes, her face appeared in front of me, her beautiful smile. Gynaika mou.

My phone buzzed; I looked at it immediately.

My personal assistant, Stella, sent me a message.

I had asked Stella to find me an obstetrician as soon as possible after Lisa had felt sick on the yacht.

Stella sent me Mrs. Maria Raptis' number. I called her and asked if there was any way to know if Lisa was pregnant without any tests. She said that it was impossible to be sure without tests. The only possibility of finding out would be if I knew her menstruation date.

How am I going to find out? Think, Zack. Think.

An idea came to my mind. I smirked.

Tomorrow I was going back to Greece. I sent Lisa a message.

'I am going back tomorrow evening. I will wait for you at the same cafe we have met before at one.'

My phone buzzed.

'Ok.'

I put the phone down on the bedside table and went to bed.

***

I was nervous. Today, I would know.

I took a shower. I put on a white dress shirt and black suit pants. I grabbed my phone and went out.

I was in the car near to the cafe. I sent her a message that I would be ten minutes late.

"Do you understand what you have to do?" I told the girl, who was sitting beside me.

"Yes, sir." She nodded.

"Ok, she's coming."

I decided to fake a survey questionnaire.

I found someone who would approach her. I made sure to put down a question asking about her menstruation period.

I watched from my car as a girl approached her. It seemed that at first, Lisa tried to walk away, but the girl insisted and she stopped. Great!

I tapped my fingers on my leg nervously as I saw Lisa filling out the survey.

A few minutes later, they finished. Lisa went into the cafe. I got out of the car and met the girl.

"Did she fill it out completely?" I asked.

"Yes, sir."

"Good."

I gestured to Yannis to give the girl her money.

I looked at the date and called the doctor. I told her Lisa's period date. She said that Lisa's fertile days were from six to fourteen. These days ended six days before we had unprotected sex meaning that she isn't pregnant.

I was supposed to feel relieved, but I felt upset. Why?

The baby would complicate things between us, and I wasn't planning to get married or have children right now.

But why do I feel like this?

I shook my head and went into the cafe. I walked towards Lisa.

When she noticed me, she smiled at me. I smiled back. I hugged her as I smelled her hair. I loved this smell.

After a few hours in the cafe, I took Lisa to her house.

I was leaving for Athens today. The jet was already at the airport.

I went to my house to get ready. After taking a shower, I put on a black suit, a white dress shirt, and a black tie. Then, I went to the holding.

***

I left the holding with my father. We were going to have dinner with an Italian businessman.

While we were in the car, all I thought about was Lisa. I missed her already.

"Are you alright?" my father asked. "You started talking to me in English," he clarified at the look on my face.

Since my mother was Danish, we talked in English at home even though she had learned Greek. I spoke to her in English, in contrast to the language I spoke to my father in—Greek.

When I was sad or upset, I would speak to my father in English.

"Yes." I muttered.

He looked at me with a " I do not believe you" look, but I did not say anything. I looked through the window.

"Is the reason for your sulky face what an obstetrician said to you? Am I going to be a grandfather? "

I looked at him. I was shocked. How did he find out about the obstetrician? He looked at me, smiling.

"How did you find out about the obstetrician?"

He looked at me with an "I am a Petropoulos" look. I shook my head with a lazy smile.

"No, you're not," I said.

He looked at me, raising his eyebrow.

"Is it good news or bad news?" he asked me.

I breathed deeply. "I don't know. It's complicated."

"Do you love her?" he asked. I looked at him with a blank expression.

Do I love her? The question replayed in my mind all the time. No, I don't. Or do I? No, Zack. You don't.

Love isn't real. You don't need it. It's lust, just lust.

"Patera, you are asking too many difficult questions today," I said with a fake smile.

Lisa's POV

I was laying in my bed. I was sad and numb. I only wanted to sleep. I was tired and felt weak. Zack was in Athens. I missed him so much. I used to be next to him. I wanted to cuddle in his arms.

Suddenly, my phone rang. I grabbed it quickly. Maybe it was Zack. I looked at the screen. It was Stefano. I felt upset that it was him and not Zack.

Stefano wanted to see me and invited me to a restaurant for dinner. I needed to talk to him as well.

After taking a shower, I got ready. I put on a blush pink wrap dress. Stefano picked me up moments later. We were both quiet in the car.

We talked about the arson at the restaurant.

He told me that the holding's garage was attacked as well.

I instantly became worried about Zack. Was he alright? What if the attacks progressed and became worse? The thought gave me goosebumps.

Before I could dwell in my thoughts, the server with our meals arrived.

Suddenly, I didn't feel well. A wave of nausea hit me. I covered my mouth with my hand and rushed to the restroom.
