Lisa's POV

I pushed him away. This time he stepped back, but his smirk hadn't disappeared from his face.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I yelled at him, angrily.

He thought that he could come and touch me, and ignore me whenever he wanted? He was wrong!

"You didn't even call me. Now you're here and..." I breathed in deeply.

He looked at me with tenderness in his eyes. He walked closer to me and held my cheeks in his hands.

"I missed you, too," he said. "If I had called you, I would have come back in an instant at the sound of your voice just to be with you."

He paused for a while as he thought, but then continued. "I thought the right thing for us was to stay away, but I can't anymore. When I saw you with Stefano, I got jealous. I wanted to grab your hand and drag you out of here with me and tell the world that you are mine, only mine."

What? I hadn't expected these words to come from him. I was happy and very emotional. My eyes suddenly filled with tears.

"Hey, don't cry," he said, softly. I couldn't hold myself back and started crying.

He pulled me into his chest and wrapped his arms around me, tightly. I buried my head in the hollow of his neck as I sobbed. He stroked my hair gently.

Why was I so emotional?

I told him that I needed to wash my face. As I was about to open the door, he grabbed my wrist and turned me around.

"Don't get engaged to him," he told me, seriously.

I looked at him. He was serious. He moved closer to me as he held my wrist and gave me a soft kiss on my lips.

After he walked out, leaving me in the room in shock. His words were repeating in my mind over and over.

What did that mean? Was it because he was jealous or he wanted to be with me?

I adjusted my dress and went to the bathroom. I washed my face. A few minutes later, I went back.

"Are you alright?" Stefano asked, concerned.

"Yes, sorry. I saw my friend, Stefano. I wanted to say..."

Suddenly, his phone rang. "Excuse me." He picked up his phone. His expression changed. "Are you sure? Ok. Bye." He hung up.

"Something wrong?" I asked.

"Not really, but it's about work. I need to go urgently."

"Ok."

He looked at Zack. "Wait a minute. I need to tell Zack something."

"Sure."

He went towards him. They talked about something. Zack's expression changed as well.

What was going on?

Zack looked at me. Then he nodded at Stefano. Stefano came back.

"Let's go."

"What is going on?" I asked, worriedly.

"Nothing," he said. "Don't worry about it."

But I was sure it wasn't about work. Maybe it had to do something with the arson?

We walked out of the restaurant and got in his car. He drove so fast that in minutes he had parked his car in front of my house.

"Goodbye."
