Lisa's POV

I opened my eyes the following morning. I wrapped the cover around me and crawled towards Zack, who was sitting at the edge of the bed.

I wrapped my arms around him as I placed my head against his back. He pulled my hands away and got up without saying anything. I gave him a questioning look. He ran his hand through his hair.

"What happened last night...will not happen again. I was drunk. But you should have stopped me," he said and got up. "I won't tell Stefano. There's nothing for you to worry about." He paused before he continued, "I wish you a happy life."

"Zack, let me explain. It's not what you think."

"What do I think? I told you that I love you and not to get engaged to him. I thought...you loved me too...But I was wrong."

I got up and walked closer to him. I grabbed his hand. He wanted to pull his hand away, but I didn't let him.

"Zack, please listen to me. We are not engaged, it's fake." He looked at me puzzled. I continued to explain. "The day we met up at the cafe, I told him that I didn't want to marry him. He told me that he wanted to tell me the same thing as well. But he said he needed my help. He said it was Mary, his ex-girlfriend after him and...you."

After hearing her name, he tensed up.

"He said that if she believed that we were engaged, then she would show herself and the police would be able to catch her...and I accepted."

"No!" He snapped and started walking back and forth in the bedroom. "I won't let you have anything to do with this. It's dangerous! I will talk to Stefano. Forget about it!"

"Zack..."

"No! It is not up for discussion."

After taking a shower, I wrapped a towel around me and stepped out of the bathroom.

When I came back into the bedroom, Zack was talking on the phone in Greek. When he saw me, he ended the conversation.

We got ready and left his house. We were in his car as the bodyguards followed in the car behind us when I suddenly felt sick. A little later, it passed.

I thought about last night. Oh...no! We didn't use protection. How many times had we had unprotected sex? I didn't remember.

I looked at Zack. He was serious as he drove the car. He was still angry at Stefano and me.

"We forgot to use protection last night," I murmured.

"It's not the first time," he said without taking his eyes off the road.

"What?!" I asked, anxiously.

"We didn't use any that time you came to my suite after dinner. But don't worry. I talked to a doctor. She said your fertility days were before we had sex. They had ended six days before." I looked at him shocked.

Had he suspected before? And how did he know when I was supposed to have my period?

Oh! It had to be the girl at the cafe with the questionnaire survey.

I looked at him with wide eyes in realization. "It was you...the questionnaire survey. You sent that girl!" He nodded.

I looked at today's date and noticed that I was late.

"Did we use protection the first night we were together?"

He looked at me, puzzled. "I don't remember," he muttered. "Are you feeling alright?" he asked. "You look pale."

"I'm late," I murmured.

Suddenly, he stopped the car. He looked nervous as he tightened his grip on the steering wheel.

His phone rang. He picked up and snapped. "Ohi, Yannis." (No, Yannis) He hung up.

Yannis must have thought there was a problem because Zack had stopped the car suddenly.

"I thought it was stress," I mumbled. "I thought we used protection."

He started driving without saying anything. "Where are we going?"

"To the pharmacy," he said huskily.

He pulled over the car in front of a pharmacy.

"Wait for me in the car," he said. I nodded.

I was nervous. I played with the hem of my dress as I waited for Zack to return.

A few minutes later, he walked out with a bag. He got in the car and handed me the bag.

The thought of being pregnant was very frightening. I was so nervous that my hands started to tremble as I sat with the bag in my arms.

Zack noticed and turned to me. "There's no reason for you to be afraid," he said. "I'm going to be with you no matter what." I nodded.

He smiled slightly and started the car.

I looked out the window as Zack headed back to his house. When we arrived, we went straight to his bedroom.

I grabbed the pregnancy test from the bag and went into his bathroom. I peed on the stick and waited for the results to show.

As I waited in the bathroom for the results, Zack waited in the bedroom. I could hear his steps.

What will I do if it's positive? How would we explain this to our parents? And more importantly, how will Zack react if it is positive?

He told me that he would be by my side no matter what. What did he mean?

Time was finally up. I walked towards the sink counter where the test was.

When I looked at the test, there were two pink lines.

"Positive," I murmured.

My emotions were everywhere. I didn't know if I was nervous, scared, happy, or excited.

Zack knocked on the door. "Lisa?"

I walked out of the bathroom with the test in my hand.

Zack waited for me outside the door. He gave me a questioning look.

I handed the test to him so he could see the results with his own eyes. He grabbed it and took a look. His eyes traveled to the test and back to me.

He looked at me and asked huskily, "This means..."

"Positive! We are having a baby," I murmured.
