Chapter 9, Surprises

Adam's POV

Well, Amy, Ty, and Jason all decided to go out on a walk, so I hopped in the car. I have wanted to get Amy a phone, so I headed off to the Apple store at the mall.

When I arrived at the mall, I had to walk through the food court all the way to the opposite end of the mall to get there. I met a few fans, some really nice and chill, others fangirling and freaking out. Some of them scared me..... But we took selfies anyway.

I walked into the Apple store. So many iPhones and computers! As I looked at iPhones for Amy, an employee (or, as I call them, iNerds) walked up to me. (A/N I call them iNerds irl lol)

"Can I help you find something?" she said. I stared for a moment, she was so pretty. She had pale blonde hair with rainbow streaks, and she looked about 19 or 20. Her nametag read "Zero".

"Sir?" she asked, and I snapped back to reality.

"Um, yes, I'm looking for an iPhone for my daughter," I said. she looked at me like I was crazy. "You have a daughter? You look 20."

"Adopted daughter," I said. "What do you think a 14 year old girl would like?"

She lead me over to a table of colored phones. Green, blue, red, yellow, black and white. I looked at them for a moment, then remembered Amy told me and the guys her favorite color was blue.

"How much would that one be?" I asked Zero, pointing at the blue one. "That one would be about $225," she said.

I really wanted to get Amy a phone, so I agreed to pay the price. Zero led me up to a register so I could pay. She told me the new phone number, all the information I needed to know, and I was on my way out.

Just as I walked out the door of the store, new phone in hand, Zero caught up to me to say something.

"Hey, we're around the same age, would you maybe want to go out sometime?" she said. "Sure, sounds great," I said. She gave me her number and I gave her mine, and I was on my way.

I hopped in the car to head home. It was only about a half hour until I got there, and when I walked in, Amy, Ty, and Jason were back from their walk.

I walked over to Amy and said, "Hey Amy, I got you something at the mall today." She looked up and said, "What is it?"

She walked over to me and I pulled the phone out of the bag. "Amy, say hello to your new iPhone5c," I said. She stared at the phone with wide eyes. I think she liked it.

"OMG OMG OMG ADAM THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!!!!!" she screamed, grabbing the phone and hugging me.

I was happy to make her happy.
