Ben was out today filming with the Hobbit crew, so what did I decide to do? Get my patriotism on. I turned on the Hamilton soundtrack and brought out my inner sass on while making the most american food I could think of. I had been a little homesick lately, so guess what my remedy was. Yep! Grilled cheese bacon burgers. UGH. And for desert? Funnel cake flavored donuts. Did I say UGH?!
I swayed my hips and fluently rapped Alexanders part in 'Cabinet Battle #1' and watched the burger grill in the skillet.
"Sitting there, useless as two shits. Hey turn around, bend over, I'll show you where my shoe fits."
"Is that a threat or a promise?" I felt two arms wrap around my waist, and before I knew who it was, I had already punched them straight in the nose.
"Well, that was unexpected. You really are defensive over the whole 'Fist of Freedom' thing aren't you?"
Sitting on the floor was my fiance, Ben. He had his hand over his nose, pinching the bridge to try to clot the blood running at a rapid pace. My eyes got wide as I wet a washcloth and cleaned up the excess blood on his lips and on the floor.
"Oh my god, Ben are you alright? I didn't know you were home and it just surprised me when you came in, and I should of expected it, and-"
Ben shushed me and laughed, coincidentally along with Jefferson's laugh towards the end of the cabinet battle.
"Darling, its okay. Calm down. Wait... what's that smell? What are you making? I sense a heart attack. Ah... I know what this is." Ben hummed in acknowledgement. (Holy shit I didn't even realize how long of a word that was XD)
I chuckled nervously. "You do?"
"Yep. You're having one of your American days aren't you?" He smiled at me as I turned pink with embarrassment. I nodded and he airily chuckled. He pulled me onto his lap and cuddled me to his chest. "I should've known."
"Hmm... you want to join?" I looked up at him and he looked back down at me with a smile.
"But of course."
