It's Time (Alex's POV)

Yes, I just kissed Jack.

Holy shit. I just kissed Jack.

Well, yeah, I did. I've missed him like crazy, I just didn't know how to tell him, and well, this was my only chance to "tell" him I missed him. And to my surprise, he didn't pull away. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly. I even heard Pete and Patrick gasp, then I looked at them and they were smiling. I need him back in my life.

"A-Alex?" Jack asked as he pulled away.

"Well, we're going to go. You two talk about what you will," Patrick said as he practically dragged Pete out of the house and smirked.

I laughed as I closed the door behind the two of them, then walked back into the living room and sat on the couch. I patted the seat next to me and Jack sat beside me. He still looked confused out of his mind, but in the cutest way possible.

"Explanation?" I asked.

"Please," he said.

"Honestly, I've been trying to find a good time to tell you how much I missed you... I don't know what the hell I was thinking when I asked for a divorce or when I hit you... I'm not going to blame it on the alcohol because you and I both know I'm an asshole. That's no secret. Jack, I'm so incredibly sorry about everything I've put you through and I'm sorry I'm a jackass. You don't deserve anything I put you through, that I know. Honestly, what's not to love about you?" I said.

"What are you trying to say?" he asked.

"What I'm trying to say is that this was all a mistake," I sighed. "It was a mistake the second that stupid word left my mouth, it was a mistake the second my hand made contact with your cheek, it was a mistake when I let you get your own place, and it was a mistake to kick you out of my life. It was all a mistake, Jack, and I'm so, so sorry," I explained.

"A-Alex," he said as he began to cry.

"Baby, why are you crying?" I asked as I took him in my arms.

"Do you know how hard this has been? Do you know how much I've missed you, missed being with you all the time, and most of all, missed saying how much I love you? You knw what our daughter told me the first day I brought her to my place? She walked into my room and saw me crying like hell on the edge of my bed and she asked me what was wrong. I told her that I missed you, and you know what she said? She said she missed us together. Then she crawled onto my lap and I cried even harder. That's the first time I've cried in front of our daughter, Alex, and then she told me that she'd always love me. It was terrible, Alex. I felt helpless. I didn't know what to do," Jack explained, which made me cry. "Alex, our own daughter missed us together."

"J-Jack," I said. "I can't even tell you how sorry I am. Words simply cannot say it. I'm a terrible person, I know, and I know what I did can never be taken back, but I'm sitting here right now telling you that I need you back in my life. Since you've been gone, I've felt like something was missing, even Zack and Rian pointed that out. I haven't been myself AT ALL. I've been really depressed, and even Libbie noticed. Jack, I need you back in my life, and I don't care how selfish this all sounds, but I need you and you complete me, alright? You're the first person I've ever loved this much and you'll be the last. You're the missing piece to my puzzle, Jack. My crazy, fucked up puzzle of life," I said as I cried.

"Alex, don't cry, please," he said as he wiped the tears streaming down my face. "I feel the exact same way. And I know you're sorry. If you weren't, you wouldn't be getting this emotional, ok? I know you and I can see it in your face. You mean everything to me and I was so heartbroken, but after this conversation, I don't even know what to think. I think I love you more than I ever have, baby."

"Jack, I love you too and I want you back here," I said as I kissed him.

"I love you too and I want to be back here. I want us all to be a family again. This baby deserves to know his other father," he said.

"Please move back in here with me," I said.

"Of course," he said as he kissed me.
