Sometimes I wish the silence would suffocate me first before the voices do.
They say worse things than the others, taunting me so I never breathe.
The silence would be the moment of breath you take when someone saves from drowning.
The voices being the ocean suffocating me.
The chains being the others that trap me deep within.
But when I take my one breath.
The single breath that will keep me alive.
Easiness floods through my veins reassuring I'm surviving.
Relief exhaling through my lungs telling me I can take more.
But I was never surviving, I only ever did fall, from the corner others trapped me to.
