Phasing Heart

HOW COULD YOU?!?!?!?!

     "I choose... to agree. You'll have Phaze 2 after the job is done." I couldn't believe my ears. He was giving me away. His best friend of all people! I just want to break down into tears.

     "Mr. Barrier, where is your restroom?" Sound Barrier then clapped and a man came in. He told the man to take me to the restroom. As we left the room, I could hear them start planning. When there, I went in and sat by the tub. I was quiet, but I cried my eyes out. How could he? We only have each other and a shitty apartment. Was being a known villain that much more important? I tidy myself up and look in the mirror. I see a 5'2, skinny boy at the ripe age of 22 with spiked black hair that has one bright red streak. I were a somewhat tight, long-sleeved, black and grey striped shirt with really loose and baggy black pants. Just gotta shake off this feeling.

     I go back and the two of them had just finished their quick plan. Iron Hammer hooked an arm around my shoulder and walked me off to our way back to the hideout. He kept rambling and I paid no attention. He can do whatever he wants at this point, I don't care. He's so willing to just give me away. The amount of villains I turned down so I could stay with my best bud. GOD! I just want to cry again.

     Finally we return and Iron Hammer goes straight to bed. I though go out the window to the fire escape and climb to the roof. I sat and cried until I fell asleep to the noise of cars, people yelling, and the cold and bitter wind.

     I woke up to Iron Hammer shaking my body and I feel the sun's warmth on me. We go inside and he explains to me that him and Sound Barrier didn't want me around for this. Why? I have no idea why. Even though he just explained it, that was the only part I picked up. My guess would be that Sound Barrier has enough men their to work anyways. Just more time for me to wallow in more depressed agony.

     Minutes turned to hours and hours turned into a couple of days. Then Their plan was complete. Over the time I had gotten my stuff packed and ready for the day. Iron Hammer came back and slammed the door shut in joy.

     "Hey Kai!"

     "So I'm not even Phaze 2 to you anymore?"

     "Come on. Don't be like that."

     "Just tell me what you want."

     "Well the plan goes through tomorrow. Want to come see the Masked Warrior's face?"

     "Screw off." I mutter in my sad state.

     "What? Did I do something?"

     " 'Did you do something?' Did You Do Something?!' You absolute dumbass! Of course you did. We have been partners in crime and best friends for Seven Long Years! Ever since you found me on the streets! Now you're just gonna throw me away to someone else like I mean nothing. I- I just- I don't know what to say. All I can do now is get ready to leave your life tomorrow." All my anger flowed out and all that's left there is emptiness. I've cried out the sadness, well almost. I've screamed out the anger. I've laughed away all the happy memories. I've practically gone empty.
