Where am I? How did I get here so fast? Which is the way home? What...did just happen?

Millions of questions popped into Cassie's head.

The others were laughing and playing, but Cassie just slowly walked into the beach. There was real sand under her feet and authentic beach wind blowing against her skin and messing with her hair.

Cassie had to admit that the place was beautiful. The sky was so blue and the sun seemed brighter than ever. The air was way purer than in London or any other place that she had been.

Cassie was only able to get back to reality when Lucy accidentally splashed her.

"What is all this?" Cassie asked her. The others looked at her surprised, apparently they didn't realise that Cassie was there before.

Lucy smiled at her widely.

"Oh, you're confused! First things first, introductions. My siblings" Lucy said. She pointed at the blond boy. "He's Peter." Lucy pointed at the dark haired boy. "That one is Edmund." Lucy pointed at the pretty girl. "And she is Susan."

"So you don't go by Phyllis anymore, uh? " Cassie said. She looked bitterly at the older girl. "I heard you talking with my brother at the newspaper stand."

Susan seemed guilty and uncomfortable.

"Where do you think we are?" asked Edmund.

"What do you think? Clearly, Narnia!" Peter said excited.

Edmund looked at the ruins of a stone castle on a mountain nearby and frowned.

"Well, I don't remember any ruins in Narnia."

"Wait, what is Narnia?" Cassie asked. She looked at the siblings, confused. "I know it is...well, here. But I don't understand..."

Lucy took her by the arm and they separated from the others to explain her.

"Well, it all started inside a wardrobe..."
...
Lucy paused her story when they reached the ruins.

"Um, I wonder who lived here." Lucy said as she admired the view.

The ruins reminded Cassie to Stonehenge. The remains were incomplete and covered in grass and plants, but there was mystery and power that seemed to emerged from them.  Cassie felt very small in that place.

"We did." Susan said as she picked up a golden item that looked like a chess piece.

"Hey, that's mine...from my chess set." Edmund said.

"Which chess set?" Peter asked.

"Well, I didn't exactly have a solid gold chess set in Finchley, did I?" Edmund said.

"It can't be!" Lucy exclaimed a couple of feet away from them.

The rest approached her.

"Don't you see?" Lucy said as she looked at her siblings. She placed them in different spots of the ruins as she talked and pointed. "Imagine walls...and columns there...and a glass roof."

Cassie did her best to imagine what Lucy said. In her mind, there was a beautiful and huge room.

"This used to be castle, right?" Cassie asked.

"Cair Paravel." Peter said in amusement.

Now it was the time for the Pevensie siblings to be shocked. While they analysed the situation, Cassie wandered off a little around the ruins.

"Cair...Paravel" Cassie whispered. "Cair Paravel." She muttered the name until her tongue got used to it. A foolish smiled crossed her faced as she walked and admired herself with the view.

She had never been in a castle before, and even though those were ruins of one, Cassie was still amazed.

Cassie didn't notice Edmund looking at her and chuckling. But, could he blame her? After all, everything she knew about castles was from books and now she was standing in one! Well, on its ruins.

"Catapults" Edmund said suddenly. He looked at the other. "This didn't just happen. Cair Paravel was attacked."

Peter and Edmund ran over to a wall and move it to reveal a door behind it. Just like the heroes and heroines in Cassie's memory, Peter ripped a piece of his shirt and wrapped it around a stick.

"I don't suppose you have matches in there, do you? " Peter asked his brother.

"No...but would this help?"

Edmund looked inside his bag and pulled out an electric torch.

"You might've mentioned that a little bit sooner!" Peter joked.

Cassie looked into the stairs inside the cave and swallowed hard. She hated the dark and also she could've sworn that she saw spiders, those hideous creatures.

"Cassie." Edmund called her. "Aren't you coming?"

Cassie looked at him shortly and then to the stairs.

"I don't have much of a choice, do I?" She said nervously.

"Yes, you do. " Edmund replied. Cassie looked at him hopefully."I mean, you could stay here." Cassie nodded. " Just watch out for the gigantic spiders. " Cassie almost peed herself when she heard that. "And the demonic butterflies." Edmund laughed.

Cassie rolled her eyes.

Hilarious.

"I'll go." She said as she dried her sweaty hands on her skirt.

Edmund moved to the side and gestured to the stairs with his arm.

"Ladies first."
