knew I shouldn't have said it like that but as soon as the words left my mouth he was off the couch and in front of me, steaming.

"Do you have any idea how worried I was about you?!?"

"Why?"

"Be- because you could have been killed. What would I have been able to do if you were killed while you were out, or kidnapped again?!"

"Why don't you train me like I've been asking you to? Then you wouldn't have to worry as much!"

I pushed past him, the folder in my arms brushing his side. He grabbed my arm hard, making me wince at the bruises left from Frank earlier. Ones I didn't realize where forming. His face changed from frustration to concern.

"What happened?"

His voice dropped a little

"It's nothing."

"Where did you go?"

"I told you, it's nothing."

I jerked my arm from him and sat where he previously was placed on the couch.

"Look Y/N, I get it. You don't want to talk to me, you're still mad. I was wrong to go to foggy and Karen about your problems but I was just trying to help."

"I appreciate the concern, Matt, but I've got this."

"Do you?"

I just looked at him. The truth is, until I met Frank tonight I didn't have this. I was scared and angry and looking for answers. I was hoping, now that I had some files, I could get some answers. Matt could tell I didn't have a grasp on anything yet. when I didnt say anything back to him he sighed in defeat and retreated to his room, sliding the door closed once he was inside. My eyes followed him until the door was fully shut. When I heard the bed creak, signaling he was inside, I opened the folder and started going through everything. I tried to go through as much as I could in the short time I had before Matt needed to wake up for work. It didn't help that I got home at four in the morning and he had to get up at eight. I rushed through and pieced together what I could before I heard his first alarm go off.

When the bell rang I scrambled as fast as I could to put the papers and photos together. He may not be able to see but he knew everything that was happening at all times. After everything was put back together I got up from my place on the couch and made my way to the kitchen to make us breakfast. After the first omelette was fried he walked in dressed in his suit and tie, and complimented me on the delicious smell.

"Did you make breakfast?"

"Yes, I'm currently making it."

"It smells amazing."

"Well I had some thinking to do last night and I figured, I can't stay angry at you forever. It was a petty thing of me to go off on you like that. I understand that you where only trying to help me and I'm sorry for the way I reacted."

"I appreciate that Y/N. And I'm sorry too. I should have asked you first if you wanted any, extra, help. I'm glad we can put this past us."

"Me too Matt."
