I was wheeled back into my room and was met with a pacing Matt. he was accompanied by foggy who was sitting in the side chair. He looked up at me with hopeful eyes but Matt stopped and seemed beyond tense.

"What did the doctor say?"

Frank knowingly looked at me as he picked my up and put me back in my hospital bed.

"Well, she said that everything should be alright. other than the hole in my side im healthy and so is the baby. but she said if I feel like anything is wrong I need to go to my regular OB as soon as possible."

"So nothing wrong? Nothing bad happened to the baby?"

I just smiled and looked at Frank, who smiled back and addressed Matt himself.

"Everything is fine, our little boy is gonna be alright."

Matt's mouth dropped but his lips soon drew into a huge smile.

"It's gonna be a boy?"

I nodded happily.

"yeah we're having a boy."

 my eyes got watery with happy tears. Foggy got up from his place and gave me a huge hug.

"Congratulations y/n."

I watched him sit back down and the unexpected happened. Matt actually walked over to Frank and hugged him. i was beyond shocked but i guess they were both just happy. They laughed in excitement which made me glad to see, they were getting along great now, which was something we'd been trying to work on for a while. At that moment it was like everything was alright, I had my friends, my boyfriend and my healthy unborn baby boy. the only thing that was out of place was the amount of pain i was in from being shot and the pain of knowing what could happen down the line.
