I hung up the phone and ran to Chris and gave him a huge hug. I sat in the empty seat next to him. Kat fell asleep so I thought it would be ok to sit with him for a while.
Chris: "Why are you running away Mia?"
Mia: "Chris I can't deal with the constant fighting at my parents house plus I'm 18 so I can do this."
Chris: "Just because your 18 hun doesn't mean the you can go do anything in the world."
Mia: "I know Chris! But I can't do this. I cry myself to sleep almost every night and I'm always so stressed. It's not healthy for me. My sister Victoria needs to get out of there to."
He looked at me for a few mins and then said, "Well then I'm coming with you."
I gave him the evil eye and said, "CHRIS!!!!!"
Chris: "Don't give me that Mia weather you like it or not I'm coming with you and Kat."
I knew that there was no way to convince him not to stay so I gave in, "Fine!! If you must!"
Mia: "Yes yes I do I promised your mother that I would always protect you." We sat and talked for a while and then I fell asleep because I was completely exhausted.
