The blonde sits up and makes a bored beckoning gesture. All of a sudden, the pan of blood becomes heavier in Kelly's arms. Aunt Phyllis is ripped from her garage and appears, kneeling on the rug in front of the blonde.

Phyllis is in pain. Even though she's obviously straining, her arms are locked in place and crossed behind her back. Every single muscle fiber in her body is bound up.

"Lucy!" she spits out between clenched teeth.

"Awww. Look at her. Little Meph the High Daemon. You didn't expect my new get up did you?"

Phyllis gurgles and a trickle of bloody drool traipses down the corner of her mouth.

"My bad. Let me loosen that up a bit."

The aunt's jaw clamps tighter and more bloody lines of drool promptly join the pacesetter.

Lilly chuckles and then purrs, "Oops. A tiny mistake. Human bodies are so fragile aren't they?"

The archdaemon sighs and plops backwards onto the sofa. "You know, it's been a while, but I'm sure your prodigious memory is impeccable. What did I say I'd do if I caught you spying on me?"

Phyllis gulps in a deep breath as the clamp on her face is released. "You said you'd feed me my balls then tear off my..."

"Good girl! Too bad you have neither of those now. Get tired of all the testosterone?"

Lilly's brow crinkles. She stops for a moment and then sniffs the air.

"Hold on a minute. You're not alone."

She sniffs again and her smile returns. "Well what do you know? My little Mephisto has a kid. What did I tell all you c*nts about that? No. f*cking. daemon babies!"

Each word is punctuated by an invisible strike to Phyllis' face.

"Couldn't keep your legs together could you? Never would've expected you to be a slut."

Kelly winces. His heart is racing, but his mind is blank. Nothing in his aunt-mother's training has prepared him for this.

Lilly leans forward and narrows her eyes, their cold blue eyes like screws that drill into Phyllis. "What's his name? It's a boy isn't it? Maybe I can let you watch as he takes your punishment."

Phyllis' eyes are hard, defiant.

"His name!" Lilly hisses. "You wouldn't want him to see his mother die would you? Killing him quickly is a mercy that he'll lose if your mortal body snaps before I find him."

"My dear boy," Phyllis gasps as her spine begins to bed backward, "you know who you have to find. You know what you have to do." Her eyes roll back to Lucy. She smiles as she sputters, "Go f*ck yourself" and then promptly drops to the ground unconscious.

Lucy is confused for a moment. Fortunately Kekeli isn't. He drops the bowl of blood, ignoring it as clatters and splashes liquid over the garage floor. In the same second, he grabs the old bowie knife and slices it across his palm.

As soon as a drop his blood touches the stale cat's blood on the concrete floor the blood window shatters. The mix of human and cat blood rapidly catches fire.

Kelly drops the knife and scuttles into a corner. He's still in shock, and although his face is pale and emotionless, fat teardrops begin to roll down his cheeks.
