Epilogue

The next day when Claire came over, she told Adanna that her parents and her were relocating to Canada and although Adanna was happy, they were both sad at the thought of staying thousands of miles apart. When the the day for their departure came, Adanna and her parents escorted them to the airport with so many hugs, kisses, tears of joy on the way even right to their checking in.

Adanna and Derek's love, friendship and relationship seemed to wax stronger and also talks about their future became more prominent. She finally got to talking to her parents and Derek about her experience so far and her parents also showed her Condolesa's tape. That day was epic.

Few months after the departure of her best friend and family, Derek proposed to Adanna in the most surprising and amazing way. One strange thing was that her parents had seen it coming for some days.

The proposal was epic. Derek had taken her earlier that day to the cinema to see a movie titled 'the wedding party.' They sat at the middle row close to the aisle. Immediately after the movie, another short film played where only Derek starred in it.

Some of the individuals standing and ready to leave the room were shocked and wondered how there was another movie playing, so they all sat and waited to see.

'Ladies and gentleman, hopefully the wedding party is just beginning as they might be a part two.'

Adanna turned to look at him "what are you doing up there?" She asked flustered.

He didn't reply, in fact he barely glanced at her direction.

'there is one woman seated here that has captured my heart and the pictures are evident. She is beautiful, smart, amazing, Godly, caring. The best of God's creature and she is seated right there. "Derek in the movie pointed and people started to turn and look at themselves in the dim light searching for this descriptive woman. Adanna laughed and turned to him again

"What are you doing? How did you manage this?"

"shih my love" Derek finally responded holding her hands.

Then the lights came on and Derek went on one knee and faced her.

"I have seen the world and lived without you in it after I met you and it hurt too much that I am certain I want you in it and with me. It made little sense and my decision today is not irrational but very well thought and prayed out. I love you Adanna Eneanya.I always have since I met you. Will you give me the honor of being my wife?" He asked softly with eyes piercing like a sharp sword and heart beating like a man running for his life.

Adanna's heart pounded hard and loud, reverberating through her entire body. He was right here, right now on one knee proposing. "oh my goodness" she exclaimed. The joy she felt knew no bounds. Her heart flushed as she grinned. She felt her heart fall out of her.

The whole gathering screamed including Adanna. She couldn't believe it; it was like a movie playing over in front of her.

"Oh my goodness," she reiterated. "YESSSSSSSSSSSS" Adanna replied breathlessly as Derek slid the band in her finger. It was a beautiful white gold ring with a cluster setting that had a large emerald at the center of the band and smaller emeralds on all the sides. It was stunning. They both kissed passionately as people cheered them and congratulated them They poured their overflowing emotions into that one long kiss that testified of their love. It was heavenly, slow, passionate, intentional, sweet and piercing. They both went home and unknowingly; another surprise was waiting for Adanna at Derek's garden. It was a beautiful moonlight dinner Derek had pre arranged.

"omg!" Adanna exclaimed "you are so romantic"

Derek laughed as he pulled out a seat for her and pushed It forward after she sat. Just like the movies.

"Thank you" he said to the servers after they poured them a glass of Riesling. A fresh white wine grape.

"I have good news. I have been transferred to Dublin to head our company there. "Derek said

"oh my goodness, that is amazing"

"yes I know right and the woman of my dreams is coming with me."

"yesss, definitely "she replied as they kissed again.

They told their parents about their engagement and both sides were filled with enormous joy and happiness. They had their wedding six months after. It was a successful wedding party and Claire surprised her at the event after saying she couldn't make it over the phone. It was all shades of amazing after which they travelled to Dublin to start their life.

Adanna got admission for her masters and she finished with a first class again which landed her a good job right after. Her relationship with her family waxed stronger by the day and it wasn't strained despite the distance. Indeed, everything began to fall into place and God restored their family.
