It was quite a sad life but Jackson Hunter didn't mind because he was simply used to this life. His mother died giving birth to him and his father had to take care of the newborn baby. Jackson's father, William Hunter, loved his wife dearly and couldn't handle the pain of losing her so he turned his back to his son who resembled his mother so much. When Jackson was born he was send to his grandmother where he lived for five years but then his grandmother died because of her age. The police brought Jackson back to his father who was still grieving.

A few days passed 'til William snapped. It was all because of Jackson's looks. All because he had the white hair and the crystal blue eyes of his mother but to top it all off he looked quite feminine so for William he looked just like his wife.
First it was just a slap to the back of his head when Jackson did something wrong or stood in the way. He also learned quickly to not ask his father to come and play with him. Jackson was constantly shouted at and everything turned worse. When Jackson was ten years old William beat his son for the very first time and only because he caught Jackson singing a lullaby. It was the lullaby that his wife used to sing every night before going to bed while she was pregnant.

When Jackson was ten he found an old box in the basement which contained a video camera which had a lot of saved videos on it. One of them showed his mother with her big belly. She was gently rubbing circles on it and smiling while singing that special lullaby she made up.

William started drinking and was almost always drunk and when he was drunk he would hit Jackson and beat him. Not only physically but also verbally. Jackson learnt not to cry and not to beg his father to stop cause that would only encourage him more.

Every time someone would get suspicious of Jackson's bruises and start asking questions William and his son would move to a new city or even a new land. Jackson was born and raised in England but they moved to America when he was fourteen. But of course they didn't stay in one city for long. Because of all the moving and the fact that he didn't get anything from his father Jackson had only a few possessions. He had some old clothes and the video camera which he kept well hidden so his father wouldn't take it away from him.

When Jackson was fifteen he had to work so he had enough money to buy himself necessary things like food and something to drink because the only thing they had at home were various kinds of alcohol. William did work too but Jackson never knew what he worked as but he also never asked. Jackson had to alway prepare dinner for his father but he wasn't allowed to eat anything of it so the only things Jackson ate were various kinds of fruits and vegetables. He wasn't allowed to use the stove or hot water for himself so he couldn't cook something for himself. That led to Jackson being a bit to skinny and having a weak body.

Because Jackson had to keep his situation at home a secret he had to wear long shirts even in summer and he never had friends. He just couldn't bring himself to speak to someone so he always kept to himself. There were days when Jackson felt very lonely and depressed what led at some point to him cutting himself although he knew that his body was already weak enough without the loss of blood. He tried several times to stop but he always ended up cutting again.

William and his son moved again when Jackson was in his last year of highschool but Jackson didn't know that it would bring great changes and that his life was about to turn upside down. He didn't know that a hidden world would show itself to him as soon as he would set foot in this little town in the north of America.
