After showing my painting to Brian we went into our bedroom and laid down in the large bed. It was very comfortable and I almost fell asleep immediately. Only then did I notice how tired I really was. I could barely keep my eyes open but I wanted to spend some time with Brian too, since it was already saturday night and I spent all day painting.
"You don't have to force yourself to stay awake, Angel. You can sleep, you'll need it", Brian whispered in my ear suddenly.
Shivers ran down my spine but I chose to ignore them and instead I laid my head on Brian's chest, I wrapped my arm around his torso and intertwined our legs. Then I nodded and closed my eyes. Not even a second later I was asleep.
The next morning I woke up before Brian did. We still laid in the same position as I fell asleep in. Slowly I made my way out of bed without waking Brian up. Then I silently went downstairs and into the kitchen. Since Brian always made us breakfast I decided to make it instead. I wanted to do him something good so I stared to make some pancakes.
After I finished the food I laid the table and went back upstairs to get Brian out of bed. So I opened the bedroom door and walked in but I stopped immediately. The bedsheets were thrown off the bed and the wardrobe was opened and most of the things were pulled out and laying on the ground. The window was opened and the curtains fluttered in the wind. The moment I was able to move my legs again I ran to the window and looked outside but I didn't see anything but mountains and trees. Then I suddenly heard sobbing coming from the bathroom so I ran in there as fast as I could.
Brian sat there against the wall, his face in his hands while crying. Slowly I went over to him and sat down beside him and pulled him into an tight embrace. He cried into my shoulder while I rubbed small circles over his back to calm him down.
"What happened? When I saw the bedroom I thought you jumped out of the window", I asked him after some time.
"You weren't in bed when I woke up", he whispered. "I thought you..."
Tears were rolling down his face again when he looked at me.
"I won't ever leave you, Brian! I love you more than anything in this whole universe and you're my mate but I told you this already didn't I? Brian, I will always love you so only because I'm not in bed when you wake up doesn't mean that I left you. I wanted to do you a favour so I made some breakfast for the both of us", I explained. "I really do love you and I will tell you it over and over again so you won't have to be afraid anymore."
"Thank you, Jack. I love you, too", Brian said nodding slowly while standing back up.
Together we went downstairs and sat down at the table to eat the pancakes which were almost cold by now. It was silent the whole time we were eating so at some point I decided to break this silence.
"What do we have planned for today?", I asked interested.
"Nothing special. We can do anything you like but in the afternoon we need to head back home since we have school tomorrow", he explained.
"Would you like to go and explore the area? We could search for a nice place and have a picnic", I suggested happily.
"Yeah, I would like to do that", Brian smiled.
When we finished eating I washed the dishes and made some sandwiches for our picnic while Brian vanished up the stairs. I put the sandwiches, something to drink and a blanket that I found in the living room in a bag and went upstairs and into the bedroom to get changed and to tell Brian to get dressed too. Brian was already in the bedroom, fully dressed.
"Are you ready, Jack?", Brian asked after I got dressed.
"Yes. We can go now", I smiled at him.
