The next day we were sitting in the kitchen while eating our breakfast and everything was fine but suddenly my body started to hurt. I wrapped my arms around myself and leaned a bit forward with closed eyes.
"Jack, what happened?", Brian asked worried.
"My body hurts from the inside", I said through gritted teeth.
The next second Brian was scooping me up into his arms and carried me into our bedroom. He then laid me down on the large bed and put the covers over me.
"You're probably going through the changes now. Your senses will increase and the internal organs to conceive a baby will form inside you. Also your hips will get a bit wider so you're able to carry the child. It will hurt and you will feel really cold or hot at times so please tell me when you need anything, okay?", Brian explained.
"How long will it last?", I asked nervous.
"That deepens on the person but not longer than three days. The pain should go away some time tomorrow", he answered.
I nodded and closed my eyes again trying to fall asleep.
"Brian? Could you sleep with me?", I asked after I failed to fall asleep.
"Of course. Everything for my beautiful mate", Brian grinned.
I smiled when he climed into the bed next to me and wrapped an arm around me. Burying my face into his chest I quickly fell asleep.
Brian's P.o.V.:
I wasn't able to fall asleep so I watched my beautiful mate for a few minutes - it could have been hours. At some point I untangled myself from Jackson and stood up. He would most likely sleep for a day or two because when he's asleep his body can adjust better to the changes. I quickly took a shower and put some clothes on before I made my way outside the house and into my car. Then I drove to a nearby hardware store and bought lots of different paint for walls. Next I drove to a furniture store and bought some things a baby would need in their room.
After I finished buying everything I drove back home and checked on Jackson but he was still sound asleep. Then I carried everything into the basement but the paint and everything I needed to paint a room I brought into the room next to Jackson's and mine. Finally I decided on the colour emerald for the room so I prepared the room and started painting the walls. While I was colouring the walls the time flew by without me noticing but I didn't mind that much because I was doing something for my mate. Since Jackson was now going through the changes it had to mean that he was already pregnant although I didn't really know how it worked.

When I finished painting all the walls and putting away all the stuff I had used it was already noon on the next day. Quickly I went into Jackson's and mine bedroom just to see him still sleeping. Smiling I brushed some of his hair out of his face and he instantly snuggled into my hand so I decided to just lay down next to him to take a short nap. After I pulled him into my arms I quickly fell asleep and woke up the next day. When I woke up I took a shower and dressed myself in some sweatpants and an old t-shirt. Then I walked into the basement and picked up some of the furniture that I had bought yesterday and brought it into the babys room to put it all together. When I was finished with the bed that looked like a strange two story house it was already evening so I decided to check on my mate again.

I walked into the bedroom to see an empty bed and of course I panicked right away. Frantically I ran to the bathroom but Jackson wasn't there.
"Jackson?!", I shouted worried. "Jackson, where are you?"
I didn't get a reply so I ran down the stairs and into the living room but it was empty too so I ran into the kitchen where luckily my mate was.
"Jackson!", I breathed and embraced him from behind.
"What is it, Brian? Did something happen?"
"I thought you were gone", I answered him.
"I told you already that I wouldn't leave you. I love you way to much", he smiled and gave me a short kiss before turning back around to the stove.
"What are you cooking, Angel?", I whispered into his ear still hugging him.
"Just some eggs and bacon. When I woke up I was starving and I still am", he answered.
"I'm sorry I forgot the time", I apologized and kissed my mark on his skin.
"What were you even doing?", my mate asked.
"It's a surprise and I will only tell you when you've fully changed", I told him.
"You're mean", Jackson pouted.
"I'm not mean. I just want to surprise you with something big", I smirked at the end.
"Fine", he groaned. "When will I be fully changed?"
"In a day or two. Only your senses need to increase now because it looks like your body already changed. Your hips are wider than before", I told him while grabbing his hips.
"You know I can already see a lot better", Jackson said.
"Then you won't have to wait much longer until I tell you what I've been doing", I smirked.
After my sweet Angel finished cooking we sat down on the table and ate in silence. Jackson seemed to eat more than usual what only supported my presumption that he was already pregnant. I smiled to myself and finished my food. Then I just watched Jackson eat until he was finished. Quickly I took our dishes and put them into the sink to clean them. Jackson wanted to do it but I wouldn't have it. If he was indeed pregnant I didn't want him to do anything that he didn't need to do. After I was finished with the dishes we went upstairs and into the bedroom where we laid down on the bed together.
"I'm cold", my Angel mumbled and snuggled closer to me.
I immediately wrapped my arms around his waist and tangled our legs together so we were pressed together. A content sigh escaped from his lips and I smiled happily.
"I love you, Jackson", I whispered into his ear.
"Mhm love you, too", he mumbled drowsily before falling into a deep slumber.
For a few more minutes I just watched my mate sleep but then I too fell asleep. Jackson was able to sleep peacefully what made me really happy because at first he was often plagued by nightmares and memories of his horrible past. I was grateful that he was able to trust me and that he loved me as much as I loved him. For the next day I had planned to work on the room for our child and maybe even finish it. I sincerely hoped that Jackson would be happy about it.
