Scared, huh? It's okay, I'm here.

Half an hour after that we sat in my room, me on a mattress on the floor, Frank sitting with his knees hugged to his chest at the head of my bed. I studied him, he looked scared. I wanted to make him not be scared.
"Hey, I know we only met today, and this is kind of weird, but you can trust me, Y'know?" I said, hoping to break the silence. He nodded, smiling at me a little.
"Thanks. You and your mom are really nice." He said. His voice was soft, somewhat hesitant.
"Do you... Do you have anywhere to stay?" I asked him. He frowned, looking away and not answering.
"Because if you don't you could stay here. With us, I mean."
He looked over, a sad expression on his face.
"No, it's fine... I'll just move on like I usually do." He said. I shook my head, moving to sit on the bed next to him.
"Stay, Frank. You'll freeze to death out there." I said. He frowned.
"I... I don't think that's a good idea, Gerard." He said quietly. He was stubborn, I got that, but I was more stubborn than he was.
"No, I think it is a good idea. I mean I get that I don't know you and you don't trust me, but... Oh forget it." I huffed, moving back down onto the mattress on the floor, laying down and facing away from Frank.
"Gerard..." His voice was barely audible. I shook my head, pretending to be asleep.
"I'm... Gerard please." He said again, a desperate tone edging his voice. I rolled over to face him, barely visible in the dark.
"Yeah?" I tried not to sound irritated.
"I'm scared of... Of the dark..." He admitted. I smiled sadly, sitting up.
"Do you want me to turn the light back on?" I asked. He shook his head, frowning. That was when I had an idea.
"Move over." I said, standing up. He moved so he was right on the edge of the bed, and I crawled up to fit between him and the wall.
It didn't feel weird like I thought it would, considering we'd met only hours before. If anything, it was comfortable.
Frank frowned a little, shifting his position. I carefully put an arm around his waist, and pulled him against my chest.
After a few minutes, he stopped fidgeting.
"That better?" I asked, raising an eyebrow when I got no response.
Then, I heard soft snoring. I smiled, shutting my eyes and following suit.
