"Welcome to the holidays love." Louis voiced as the automatic doors shut behind us. We walked on and to the bakery section. "Would you like something or did those cookies treat you to enough sugar?" Louis asked and gestured to the donuts.
"I'm not very hungry though I admit they do look tempting." I said. Louis took my hand and lead me down the produce aisle.
"Alright. What should we get the boys? I can order online and we can go to different shops if necessary. I'm considering a pack of Disney movies for Liam? That ok?" I agreed and we went to see what movies we could buy for Liam. I beamed when I spotted Peter Pan and showed Louis.
"Does he have this one?" I asked as he examined it. Louis shook his head, smiled and held onto it as we went looking for more. I looked down at my tattoo and Louis followed my actions.
"That's a good one." Louis giggled and jerked to a stop when we were about to run into a young mother and her little girl. The girl smiled.
"Mummy that looks like the boy on my lunchbox!" She exclaimed and grabbed the hem of his Pepsi shirt.
"I'm terribly sorry sir." The lady said, bent over and tried to shush her daughter.
"That's quite alright ma'am. Would you like me to get a picture with her?" Louis asked generously. The lady's jaw dropped and then she nodded. Louis picked the girl up and asked for her name as her Mum got out her phone. Louis set the girl on his hip and she told us her name was Lilly. We all smiled for the first picture and then made monkey faces for the next.
The mother thanked us, said goodbye and left. The girl kissed Louis's cheek, I gave her a hug and they left.
"Oh my God that was adorable. Do you get that a lot?" I inquired as we dug through the movies on clearance.
"Pictures yes, girls as adorable as that, absolutely not but I would love more." I laughed. We noticed a flash and excited whispers when we looked up and saw an asian man snapping pictures of us. He was with a young blonde girl. Louis and I exchanged looks and he made another monkey face at the camera. The asian man looked at us with furrowed eyebrows. We were turning the tables on them.
Louis turned and whispered to me: "God I hope these aren't going in a magazine." I nodded and we continued to browse, ignoring the growing mob of photographers. After 10 minutes of strolling the movies and the crowd growing Louis snapped.
"Ok! Party's over! Go Christmas shopping for your friends and see how you like paparazzi! Go on all of you!" He put his hands over the camera and turning around the shutterbugs and gently pushing them away. "Go on!" They kept capturing our every move and I saw someone film this. I went to the lady who was filming and stepping back.
"Excuse me that's over now." I grabbed her camera and turned it off. "Thank you." I smiled fakely and gently ushered her away. Once we had swatted everyone away we continued our browsing.
"Do you need any groceries for yourself?" I asked and wrapped my arm around his waist and leaning my head against his shoulder as we walked.
"A few things. I wanted to host another house party but a real one. Ever been to one?" I shook my head. "Really? I thought you would have with how outgoing you are."
"Well this could be my first if I'm invited." I suggested quietly, just enough for him to hear.
"Of course you're coming. I have a list of things on my notes. I can pull it up now..." He took his phone from his pocket and pulled up his list and showed me.
"Milk, sugar, eggs, soda, baking soda. It sounds like you're having a Christmas party instead of a house party!" I laughed and nudged him after removing my arm from his form. Louis giggled with me and we started to the dairy section.
_____2:00 P.M.____
Me and Hope were sitting at her kitchen table wrapping up the few gifts we bought. My stomach was in knots along with the bow I was tying on the pack of movies I had purchased for Liam.
"Having trouble?" Hope asked, rose from her seat and stood behind me with her hands on my shoulders. She was acting as if she and Harry never went out. Maybe she didn't like him. But she grabbed him and pulled him closer. Women truly are confusing, or maybe men are constantly confused.
I nodded and she showed me.
"This is elementary Boo." She sighed and began to tie a bow, while voicing instructions. "Flip it over and you did a good job with the paper by the way..."
"Thanks." I whispered, a lump swelling in my throat. Her arms on either side of my neck and her face close enough to hear me panting.
"Then you do a bow. Are you ok?" She asked and rolled back into her natural standing form. "You're breathing heavy."
"I'm fine love, I really am. Just a bit embarrassed that I forgot how to do a bow tie. I just need more sleep." She raised an eyebrow and folded her arms over her red jumper.
"Whatever King Louis says..." She sat back down and finished signing a card for Niall. "My mum is probably pacing the floor looking for me right now. I should go." She jumped back up and I repeated her action.
"G-Bye Hope." I said quietly and wrapped her into a hug. We held our position for a moment. Then she pulled away.
"Bye." We gained long and heavy eye contact. I felt as if she was friendly looking into me, pushing on my heart. She stepped closer and then her hand slid up below my ear. I was confused and I showed her that through my expression. She got on her toes and closed her eyes. I wasn't going to refuse her kiss.
She was going to kiss me. I hastily pressed my lips to hers creating a blissful kiss and it wasn't empty. I'm sure we both felt something special. It lasted maybe 10 seconds. I loved every second of it. When she pulled away she just let out a puff, grabbed her coat and briskly left saying a 'Whatever' under her breath. I wasn't going to say anything to make it worse or more awkward then it already was. I just wanted to hoot and pick her up, explaining to her how much I love her.
I heard the front door slam and I snapped into reality. I had butterflies in my stomach and her kiss lingered on my lips. I knitted my eyebrows and moved quickly to watch her from the window. She facepalmed then approached my door. I know she forgot I drove her. She rang the doorbell and I answered quickly.
"I need to go home." She said rudely, staring at my welcome mat.
"What's the magic word?" I teased and poked her nose as if the last minute never happened.
"Please." She added and rolled her eyes. I got my keys off the counter, wrapped my arm around her shoulder and didn't bother for a coat even though it was snowing, I'm sure Harry has done that afew times, I wouldn't be surprised if he had pnemonia.
"I don't know why your upset. It was only a kiss." She ignored me and went on with her thoughts. I'm sure her mind was a empty room and her emotions were paint, and as of now, I'm sure her empty wall was trashed with color.
"Aren't you cold."
"No. Love, don't be like this. If you want we can push it behind us and never talk about it. I just want to bring you home and drop off a happy Hope, not an upset one."
"Ok. Pinky Promise?" She asked, putting us at a halt and sticking out one of her pinkeys.
"Pinky promise." I locked mine with hers, poked her nose again and continued to my car.
