CH 16: Forward

Dec-26-13  Hope's POV

Christmas was amazing, I brought Eve along and my cousins petted her like she was the last dog on earth. And since both my Mom's, Step-dad's and biological Dad are the oldest in their familys I have quite a few young cousins. I told them how Harry got her for me and they all cheered that I be his Girlfriend, I already kind of was though. 

I got new clothes, shoes and perfumes, my family isn't good at gift giving but I was no better. I woke up the day after Christmas with a beaming smile and Eve left surprises around my apartment. I only had a few more boxes to unpack, but I would have to do that after work.

Harry made me smile and blush when I think about him. But I also feel something with Louis, I felt like a cheater though I wasn't dating both of them. I was confused by my own self and had to constantly think ' If I had to choose one, wich one?' but I only ended up choosing Harry and then thinking about how silly Louis is and I just wanted to plunge a knife into my chest and forget about it. 

"Hello Mrs. Taylor?" I smiled after picking up a call from PJ's mother. 

"Hello, I wanted to invite you over for dinner tonight, I made spaghetti and have too much and am in need of some company. Are you able to come?" The least I could do was pay a visit to her, I could also tell her about our secret engagement, PJ would want to let his mom know the truth.

"Yes. I can come. Is there a time you want me to be there?" I asked, glancing over at Eve, who was now chewing on a chew toy Harry had purchased the day I got her. 

"Is 5 a good time?"

"Absolutly. I'll be there Mrs.Taylor." 

"Thanks Hope. Bye bye now."

"Bye." I hung up and tossed my phone onto my beanbag. Then I quickly ran over to Eve, scaring her so she barked at me in surprise. "No barkin' you silly puppy." I cooed and petted her. She hastily bit my finger, making me jerk it back. "No biting either." I then stood up and at that moment my phone rang with Louis's tone he picked out for himself: "Seaside" by the Kooks. I had to take it. 

"Hello Louis." I said shyly. 

"Hey. How's Eve doing?"

"Good, how do you know about her?"

"All the boys do. He felt like superman after giving you her." I blushed and glanced at Eve, who was now rolling on the floor, playing with a teddy bear.

"Alright." I said softly, obviously touched by his actions.

"I wanted to ask if you could come to a house party I'm hosting for New Years."

"I would if I didn't have plans, sorry Lou." I could picture the frown on his face.

"Well ok. Now tell me, how was your Christmas?"

"Amazing and yours?"

"One of the best. I have to go and get ready. Have a Good New Years." He briskly hung up leaving me on a dead line. 

___DEC-31-13  HARRY'S POV___

"Here we are!" I invited and hopped out of the car to the trunk. I had driven us to a hill where we could sled on and then spend the rest of the time watching the stars, and clock, for the few first blissfull minutes of the year.

"Thanks Harry for getting Eve's tag." I flashed a smile in her direction and took the sleds from out of my car. "Sledding?" She examined.

"I was actually thinking of taking a nap and waking up to the new year..." I laughed and handed her a sled. 

"Thanks." We climbed up the hill and settled on taking our first ride down together, me in the back. I stepped into the sled and she stepped infront. I kept my hands around her waist and my head tucked in the crook of her neck while she held onto the rope.

"3...2... GO!" I gave us a push and we spilled down the hill. Her whole body tightened but she laughed the whole way down, I did as she did and near the bottom I leaned one way, making us take a tumble.

"Way to go Harold." She laughed, pushing the sled up from over her torso. I was on her legs and sat up so she could move comfortably.

"Blame me then?" I asked sarcasticly. She stuck her toung out and giggled while sliding the
