Chapter 9:

Hailey's POV

It's been two weeks since the incident and we still don't have a lead. I'm done with letting the po-po take charge in the investigation.

I haven't talked to Brandon in a while so I decided to give him a call, but he didn't answer. I remembered security talked to him on my phone because he was calling it while we were missing. They said he told them he was at his dorm, but he wasn't there when we got back.

I was a bit worried with his wereabouts because he hasn't been here since the concert, though for others it wouldn't be uncommon because it's break, he said he wasn't going anywhere. I decided to check with the school security to see the last time he checked in or out.

Gianna's POV

Liz and Giavanna have been staying in our dorm since we got back because we are all worried about our safety. The police said this is the safest thing because only students are allowed on campus.

We have all been really worried, especially Hailey. She keeps telling us how she wished it were her, but we won't agree. We are getting nervous, and hoping she doesn't do anything stupid, because the investigation is taking so long.

Tess's POV

"Where'd Hailey go?" I asked as I came out of the kitchen, carrying a tray of sandwiches for us.

"Out.. Something about Brandon.." Gianna answered, rolling her eyes afterward.

Just then, the phone rang.

"Hello? Hailey? Okay, just calm down and we'll meet you outside. Maybe it's just a coincidence..? We'll be there in a second!" She was freaking out.

"Okay girls, looks like the sandwiches will have to wait! Downstairs we go!"

Giavanna's POV

"Start from the beginning.. Slowly this time!" I said to Hailey as she tried to tell us what happened.

"Okay so I thought about how Brandon called my phone right after the security found our bags.. They talked to him and he said he was at his dorm, but records and tapes show that he left a half hour after us, and never returned. That would mean that he lied to them.. But why would he lie for no reason? He had to be doing something wrong. But what? And why hasn't he been back at campus since then?"

Liz's POV

I don't know who Brandon is, but I have a feeling I'm going to find out. And it won't be good..

Liam's POV

Hailey called us and told us about the Brandon news. We aren't sure if this has anything to do with Niall, but we are willing to find out. Hailey agreed to hook up her phone to a security system, and once she calls Brandon, it will give us his location.

"I hope this works.." Harry pleaded. Zayn and Louis just hummed in agreement, too busy worrying about Niall to say much. Don't get me wrong, I'm worried too, but I figured the only way to find him is to take charge.

"Okay," Paul, our security guard, and the guy who made this tracking possible, said. "Call him."

Hailey pressed call and the phone rang three times before it stopped. We couldn't believe what we heard next...

"Hello?"
