Arthur looked out the window on the way to Yao's house. He couldn't bring himself to look in the beta's direction, let alone start a conversation. He couldn't get over the feeling that this was a date.
Yao seemed fine with the silence though, and soon enough they had arrived. Yao lead Arthur inside to a guest bedroom.
"My parents used to stay here, but they moved to Hong Kong to be closer to my aunt." Yao explained. "Some of my mama's gi pao are still in here, so just pick one. I'll start on the dumplings, and my cousins should be here in an hour or two. We got here a bit early."
Arthur nodded and began to look through the contents of the wardrobe. A red dress with gold swirls caught his eye and he pulled it out.
"I can wear anything?" He called.
"Of course!" Yao called back from the kitchen.
Arthur put on the dress as best he could, but he was sure that he had messed up somehow. He walked into the kitchen and looked down at the floor. "H-how do I look?"
Yao looked over at him and almost dropped the tray of dumplings. He put them in the oven, trying to calm his quickly beating heart. "You look fine. There are a few adjustments to make, but I can help with that."
Arthur nodded. "Okay. I was sure I put it on wrong anyways..."
Yao turned to him and frowned. "No, no! It just needs a bit of straightening up. It's a bit tight on you..."
Yao fixed the front, but when he went to fix the back he noticed that Arthur's muscles were tense. "Aiya! You feel so stressed out. Are you sure you don't want a massage?"
Arthur lowered his face. "Is it really that bad?"
"You feel like a dresser." Yao pointed out.
"Oh." Arthur nodded. "Then yeah."
"You'll... Have to take this off. I don't want to ruin the fabric." Yao said shyly.
Arthur's face turned bright red. "Oh."
"Don't worry, I'm a professional." Yao said. "You only need to be shirtless. I won't touch anything below the belt, I promise."
Arthur nodded slowly. "Okay. I'll go change into some pants."
"Call me in there when you're ready." Yao said, smiling.
Arthur nodded and went back into the guest room.

When he was ready he called for Yao. The beta entered and rubbed his hands together.
"Lay on your stomach." Yao said.
Arthur nodded and did as he was told. He tensed up when he felt Yao straddle his back and begin to rub. He hadn't been so close to someone else in so long. It felt so... Hot.
"Relax." Yao said soothingly. His hands ran up Arthur's back to his shoulders, his thumbs applying pressure in all the right spots.
Arthur couldn't help but relax beneath Yao's hands. He felt a sudden pressure between his shoulder blades and his eyes widened as a moan slipped from his lips.
Yao froze and looked down at Arthur nervously. "Are you okay aru?"
Arthur blushed. "I-I'm sorry! We should stop."
Yao nodded, although he was a bit disappointed. He liked Arthur, but if the omega didn't feel the same Yao would keep his distance. "Okay. Let's get ready for my cousins. They should be here soon."
They went to get ready; Arthur going to get dressed and Yao going to check on his dumplings. After about thirty minutes there was a knock on the door. Yao answered it and several people entered, all clad in shades of red, gold, and jade.
A girl wearing a flowing magenta dress with long sleeves said something to Yao in what Arthur could only assume was mandarin. Yao looked back at Arthur and smiled, then responded to the girl. He swore he heard his name.
Everyone was carrying a dish and suddenly Arthur felt bad for not bringing anything. Yao walked up to Arthur and put a hand on his shoulder.
"This is Arthur. He's a good friend of mine, so don't scare him away!" Yao smiled. "Arthur, these are my cousins: Xiao Li, Yong Soo, Xiao Mei, and Chaiya. My brother will be here later, along with a friend of his."
A pale guy walked in and stood next to Xiao Li. "Yo, Leon. Go sit with me on the couch?"
Xiao Li, Leon, smiled and nodded. "Sure thing Emil. As long as you sit in my lap."
Emil blushed and went with Leon to the couch. The rest of the guests dispersed around the room, a few going into the kitchen.
"Hey Yao, your dumplings are going to burn." Yong Soo said, pointing at the cooking dumplings.
"Aiya, they will not!" Yao replied. "The timer hasn't gone off yet."
"What timer?"
"The one in my head aru!"
"They will end up burnt, da-ze!"
Arthur chuckled, then tensed as someone tapped his shoulder from behind. It was Xiao Mei.
"So you're here with big cousin?" She asked.
Arthur nodded. "Why do you ask?"
"Oh. Really I just think that you could do better." She shrugged. "He's a jerk, really."
Arthur raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"He treats people who are younger than him like children. I'm surprised he doesn't treat you that way." She said.
"Isn't he my age? Early twenties?"
Xiao Mei chuckled. "More like early thirties. Really, he hasn't told you?"
Arthur opened his mouth to respond when Yao walked up. Mei began talking to him in... Mandarin? Arthur really wasn't sure; she and Yao began a heated argument, their eyes darting to Arthur every once in a while. Xiao Mei huffed and walked away, then Yao turned to Arthur and smiled. "Sorry. We argue a lot..."
"It's no problem. At least you get to see your family." Arthur said, then bit his lip. "Yao? How... Old are you?"
Yao's eyes widened and he opened his mouth to say something when there was another knock at the door.
When Yao answered it, the people who walked through caught Arthur by surprise. The world seemed to stop around him.
"Alfred?"

Kiku had somehow convinced Alfred to come to a party. Alfred wasn't sure who was supposed to be there, but Kiku said that his brother and cousins would probably all be there. Alfred wore a red shirt and jeans, not really caring for the theme of the party.
Kiku got them a ride and knocked on the door.
"Stay by me, okay?" Kiku asked.
The door was opened before Alfred could respond. There was a room full of people dressed in red and gold, as well as the scent of exotic foods. None of that mattered to him. The only thing that mattered was in the center of the room, staring at him in shock.
"Alfred?" Those beautiful lips parted, the most innocent question departing from them. Oh, but to Alfred it was music. It was as lovely as heaven and as pleasurable as sin all at once.
Kiku cleared his throat, distracting Alfred from Arthur. Arthur, who was dressed like royalty and wore a lovely Jade necklace that brought out his eyes. Arthur, who was a light shining in Alfred's dark life. Arthur, who... Was hiding behind a beta.
"This is my Alpha." Kiku said, gesturing to Alfred. "Right Alfred?"
Alfred blinked. He hadn't really been paying attention, so he nodded. "Uh, yeah."
Kiku smiled widely and lead Alfred to the table, setting down the spring rolls he had brought. Alfred couldn't take his eyes off of Arthur, who was now looking at the floor.
Arthur...

"Is something wrong?" Yao asked, raising an eyebrow.
Arthur looked up at him, then away. He tried to hide the tears in his eyes. "N-no."
Yao frowned and pulled Arthur into the garden in the back yard. "Please tell me. I care about you aru."
Arthur bit his lip. "I... Alfred used to be my Alpha... He cheated on me so we parted ways."
Yao tilted his head. "And he's bothering you?"
Arthur nodded shyly. "He didn't want me to leave... I'm scared."
Yao pulled Arthur into a hug, rubbing his back. "Why?"
"I don't know." Arthur said softly, tears in his eyes. "I-I guess I'm just a s-stupid omega."
Yao pulled away harshly and grabbed Arthur's face. "You are not. You're smart and funny and..."
Arthur whimpered softly and Yao looked away. "You're beautiful."
Arthur gasped. He was about to say something when Yao's lips connected with his. He blinked in shock.
Yao wasn't holding him in place. He could pull away from him if he wanted to.
But he didn't want to.
He leaned in and closed his eyes... Just as the door opened.

Alfred gasped when he saw Arthur in the arms of another. He growled and stepped forward, grasping the beta's shirt in his hand and pulling him away from Arthur. "Get the fuck off of him!"
Arthur backed away quickly, seeming to cower away from Alfred. The beta looked at Alfred angrily and kicked his arm, causing Alfred to drop him.
"What the hell Arthur?" Alfred asked, hurt in his voice.
"W-we're not together anymore." Arthur said, a tremor in his voice. He looked away. "I'm not your property."
Alfred growled and stepped forward, his hormones getting to his head. "I'll make you mine then."
The beta stepped between them. "Stop. I don't want to hurt you."
Alfred ignored him and lunged forward, teeth bared and eyes wild like an animal's. He felt a heavy impact on his chest, the beta a blur before him.
Arthur shouted something as Alfred fell to the ground, his vision going white for a moment, then blackening.

Yao jumped and kicked Alfred in the chest, effectively knocking him down. He went a bit further than Yao expected and his head hit a rock, causing his eyes to roll back in his head.
Arthur cried out and ran over to Alfred, but Kiku pushed him down and laid his head on Alfred's chest.
Kiku sighed. "Stirr breathing."
Yao picked Arthur up off of the ground and glared over at Kiku. "Are you okay?"
Arthur nodded and buried his face in Yao's chest.
"Should we bring him to a hospital?" Emil asked.
"Just put him on the guest bed." Leon said, waving a hand dismissively. "I've bounced back from worse."
"Plus, he deserves it for being an ass." Xiao Mei said.
Yao and Leon carried Alfred to the guest bedroom, then rejoined their guests.
Yao blushed as he approached Arthur. "Um, Arthur... I'm sorry I kissed you. I just..."
Arthur blushed and bit his lip. "It's okay. Maybe... Maybe I liked it."
Yao looked startled at these words. "What? I thought Xiao Mei told you how old I was... I mean, I'm so much older."
Arthur looked at the ground and blushed. He looked up and shrugged.
Yao looked as if he wanted to say something, but he suddenly gasped. "Aiya, the dumplings!"
He ran to the kitchen and started fussing over his food.
Arthur sighed and closed his eyes. He loved Alfred and Francis, and probably always would. But Yao...
He wasn't sure how he felt yet, but he was certain that his future held choices that he wasn't willing to make.
