Part Thirty

Arthur loved the Alphas very much. He also loved the Beta...
He decided that relationships were just too much. He'd gone through enough hell and heartbreak; he didn't want to go through any more. He let Alfred and Francis know, and then went to the waiting room and told Yao. All of the men decided to be friends, and they stuck to that.
Alfred didn't understand until a few years, when everything came back to him. He felt horrible for what he did to Arthur and couldn't stop apologizing, but Arthur only laughed and said it wasn't necessary. Alfred strove to be the best friend Arthur ever had!
Eventually, Alfred fell in love with a Beta (although it took quite a while), named Allen.
(Props if you know.) Kiku told Alfred what he had done, and while he was forgiven, he wasn't considered a friend.

Francis enjoyed even being close to Arthur. One year, he took them on a trip to see 'the most beautiful sunset'; of course, it was in France. While they watched on a bridge, Francis lost his balance and fell to his death...
Kidding, kidding! He fell into the boat of a Beta woman, much to the amusement and relief of the onlookers. She was a bit upset because he 'ruined her precious fish' by falling on them. Francis, being his smooth self, managed to apologize and ask her on a date at the same time.
"To make up for it, of course!" Francis had grinned widely, and the girl couldn't help but to accept.

Yao would do anything for Arthur, so when he was asked to just be a friend he was content. If it was what Arthur wanted, he would be a great friend! He was always there for Arthur and the others, and when he was diagnosed with Leukemia they were all there for him.
It was caught early on since Arthur pestered them all to be healthy, and Yao figured that it was all thanks to Arthur that it was even spotted. When he became weaker, all of his friends (and family, thanks to Arthur) were there to support him. After he had surgery, he was determined to stay strong just for them. He got better, slowly but surely; he never got over Arthur, though.

Kiku, after apologizing to Alfred, went to his friend (and the Dean of their college) Heracles Karpusi. They spent a lot of time together, and Heracles provided plenty of comfort. Kiku still felt bad about what he did, and when he tried to kill himself, Heracles stopped him; and confessed to him.
Living together was easier now that they were in a relationship; especially since both of them absolutely loved cats. To make up for their wrongdoings, they started up a cat sanctuary called 'Little Sparta's Sanctuary'. (Y'all get my reference?)

Arthur went back to college, pursuing a culinary major. He failed horribly, and tried his luck with Chemistry instead. He did extremely well, and after graduation was offered a job at a research facility. He was one of the first Omega Chemists ever, and he further raised his reputation by creating a heat suppressant that needed to be taken monthly, not daily.
His friends were so proud of him, and he was even more proud of himself. He had always wanted an education, and now... Now he was something that he'd never imagined he could be! He was happy with how things had played out; maybe he would even start thinking about a relationship again...
