Waking up for work was easy. I was excited. The first day to everything is always easy though right? It's like waking up early for school. When you do it one day, it's easy, but when you do it day after day you start to get drained because you go to bed late due to one thing or the other. Then, there's that day when you decide to neglect all responsibility and screw yourself over by not doing what you needed to get done on your off day.

This morning I got up thirty minutes before my alarm. I turned the it off so it wouldn't wake Tom up and I took a shower, dried my hair, got on jeans and a t-shirt, then made breakfast. I made eggs and toast and had a glass of milk. I let Hope out to go to the bathroom, then once he was back in bed with Tom, I left the house.
Work went smoothly. I watch, washed, and groomed the dogs. The other employees got to do all the work that involved the most effort. I wish I get to walk the dogs too in the future. I like being outside, it calms me down and is relaxing.

When I get home after work, I find Tom laying on the couch with nothing but boxers on. It looks like he's done absolutely nothing.

"Did you let hope out?"

"Yes. I also played outside with water and sprayed him with it. He loved it," Tom said with a smile. I roll my eyes and go to the kitchen to set my keys in the key bowl. I grab some food to start making lunch. I only work from 5:00am-12:00 because I don't really need the money. I just did it because I wanted to have a somewhat normal life.

I decide to make mash. It's something I used to do when I went to Grandma's house. It's potatoes, corn, peas, and whatever type of meat we were feeling. Today it's hamburger and bacon. When I call Tom for lunch he gives me a strange look.

"What?" I ask.

"What the hell is that?" he asks with a disgusted look on his face.
"Well, I call it mash, but it's basically Thanksgiving in one dish," I replied. "Eat it, or don't. Just means more for me." With that I walked to the couch and turned on Vampire Diaries. Damon is the legit love of my life. Well, unrealistically speaking. I'd still choose Tom over Damon just because I like Tom for his personality. His looks are just a bonus package.

"This is the best food ever!" he yells from the kitchen. I respond in my head with and 'I told you so' and keep watching my show. He comes to the living room with the whole bowl of mash that makes his spoon seem so little. I cuddle into him as I eat and watch tv.

Right before we figure out who Alaina chooses, between Damon and Stephan, my phone rings. I pause the show and answer it.

"Hey Chucky," I say.

"Roni, we've got a lead. Tonight at midnight we are all gonna meet at the mall where you got shot. I guess the guys who shot you left something there and your parents are going after it tomorrow morning when there are a lot of people there and they can't really be detected. We have special access so we can get in whenever we need."

"Sounds good, see you then," I say and click my phone off. I turn to tell Tom.

"Already heard. Now press play so I can see who she choses," he says, I laugh and press play.

We go through about six more episodes and I decide to get dressed in my FBI work outfit and gather anything I think I will need to keep me safe and Tom does the same. With all of our stuff, we head out.
