Kodie continued bawling his eyes out while Jackie patted his back. Mary found it excruciatingly hard to keep a straight face, but she bit her tongue. It hurt. It was a slightly awkward moment, but it would still go down in history. This was the first time ever a cool kid and a nerd were together as equals, along with the loners and the random people. Never before (and probably never again) had this happened. After around two minutes - it felt like twenty - the noise died down.
"finished?" Jackie asked. Kodie nodded.
"good. Then get up." her voice suddenly became angry. Kodie did what ever was told. "now, I want you to apologise to my friends. You've been sat here crying about your stupid friends, and now it's time you give some respect to mine."
Kodie guiltily turned to the squad, still stood in a line.
"guys.. I'm.. I'm sorry. I am really, truly sorry. I know it's hard to believe me, but I am. Please could you accept my apology?"
The girls stared at him. Then, Mary walked up to him, until they were face to face. She smiled at him.
"I'll accept your apology Kodie." she said. "just after I've done THIS!" She raised her hand and slapped him. It was so hard, it made Kodie yelp in pain, and the noise was brilliant. She walked back into the line, and then Marrisa walked up to him too.
"I accept your apology too!" she grinned before slapping him, this time on the other side of his face. His cheeks had gone red now. Then, Tanisha accepted his apology before slapping him, and then Amy and Deimonte came up and did the same. That left Jackie.
"Kodie, I am so sorry for my friends." but then, she slapped him as well.
"what I mean by that is, I felt sorry for my friends. You seriously deserved that. You won't gain any more sympathy from us!"
The group cheered, and Jackie came and stood next to her very best friends.
"this is what true friendship is Kodie." Mary smiled as she grabbed Tanishas hand and put her arm around Jackie. Tanisha nearly had a heart attack.
"I think it's something you're yet to discover." Amy laughed. Yes mate.💑👭❤️
