Chapter 12 - The Other Mary

A/N: apologies to Marissa and Deimante for the wrong spelling. I've sorted it out now!

Kodie rubbed his cheeks.
"can I have an ice pack now?"
The girls laughed.
"no!" Mary answered. "we decided to save them for more serious issues. Sorry Kodie!"
Kodie sighed in disbelief. But then, he did deserve it after all. The girls turned around and went back to the rest of the squad. Suddenly, Kodie felt very lonely. He had been forgiven, but they couldn't become friends just like that. He sat on the floor and started thinking of Owen, Harry and Ethan. And the other Mary - Mary Jean - his girlfriend. How much did he want to see them again. He had done all of his crying, and now he just felt sick, tired and alone. Suddenly, a high pitched scream was heard.
"oh no! It's Ryan Callaghan again!" Tanisha called out.
"hey! I'm right here!" Ryan blushed. (he was with a group of survivors that arrived.)
"we're gonna have to slap him soon as well." Jackie whispered to Amy.
"come on guys!" Marissa brought out her gun and began running back towards Venus. Deimante sped next to her, and the four girls followed. They threw the doors open and found out where the scream had come from.
"no way! It's Mary!" Tanisha gasped.
"I'm right here?"
"no, the other Mary!"
There she was - Mary Jean, standing there holding a handbag.
"hey! Why did you scream?" Jackie asked her. "are you OK?"
"no!" she howled. "my lipstick! It's gone! I'M GONNA DIE!!"
The girls stared at her like she was mad. She's crying over a lipstick? They didn't wear makeup full stop! They were about to walk away, when suddenly Kodie burst through the doors. The doors on the left were locked, so he just ran into them and fell over. But he got up in determination and went to the right doors. These ones were open, and he sped through.
"MARY!"
"hi!"
"not you Mary." Tanisha rolled her eyes at her wife. The other Mary looked up to see her boyfriend running straight at her. She dropped her handbag and hugged him.
"you're OK Mary!" Kodie beamed.
"no I'm not!" Mary sighed. "I've lost my lipstick! It cost me £10!"
Kodie stopped hugging her and took a step back.
" wait.. We were split up by zombies. Our friends are probably all dead. I could of potentially been dead too. And you're worried about a lipstick?!"
"it cost me £10!" she argued back. Kodie had no energy to complain.
"I promise I'll buy you a new bloody lipstick. OK?"
Mary hugged him again.
"oh, and you're friends aren't dead!"
"WHAT?!" the six girls shouted in unison. 💄😨
