I was sitting on my couch thinking of a way I was going to get my best friend back. I was in love with him. We did everything together! I needed him honestly. We were so close to being together…so close until she ruined it… I was going to let him back into my heart…but because of her he chooses not to be there. How was I going to get him back though? He was going to that Trey Songz party. So I could show up there… You know…make him super jealous! Would that work though? Maybe….it would…  I had to know where we stood though…So I decide to test him. I’ll text him something like ‘Michael baby’ and see how he reacts.

Me: Michael I missed you so much baby…

Michael: Kayla, What are you doing?

Me: Don’t play Michael… you love me don’t you?

Michael: Kay, What has happen to the loving Kay-Bear I use to know?

Me: You came….and kissed me….. Michael…please don’t play my heart..

Michael: Kayla.. I said I was sorry for everything I did!  We can’t be together!! I decided that we are best as friends.. My life is with Asia… She’s even pregnant with my child..

Life stopped right at that moment. She Was WHAT? No….No… Not possible… Looks like the joke was on me huh? I sat there for about a good minute re-reading his text over and over again.. Wow, My best friends having a baby…and It’s not with Me.. It felt like my body had gone cold… I wanted to cry.. But no tears could form. So I texted back…

Me: Wow..

‘Wow was the only word I could say…. There was no way he was going to be mines now.

~later that night~

I went out to a movie to get away from the house. I wasn’t going to stay cooped up in that house…thinking about that certain person… I wasn’t going to do it! Instead I went out! I was going to see this romantic comedy called “Heart Seeker”.  That certain person and I was going to go see this movie together but…Instead he found someone who occupied his time.  So, I was standing in line to get my ticket when My old Boyfriend came up.  He looked at me and smiled his sweet smile and I blushed. He made me blush almost every time I saw him! “Kayla, wow Hi! I haven’t seen you in years” He said smiling and looking me up and down. I returned the smile and looked up at him. “Hi, Markus! I haven’t seen you either! Long time no see, right? How are you?” I said looking him up and down. He chuckled and looked at me. “I’m fine, how are you?” He said smiling wide and embracing me into a hug. “I’m great thanks! So what bring you here?” I said hugging back and looking at him.

 “I was going to catch a movie…uh Heart Seeker? I heard it was good and you?” He said smiling down at me. Wow?! He was such a gentlemen! “Really? I’m going to catch that same movie!” I said surprised and wanting to catch up. He looked shocked shook his head. “Want to catch it with me?” He said grabbing his ticket. “Sure! Let’s go!” I said smiling and taking his hand. We walked hand in hand to our seats. Why did I ever break up with him? Oh yeah…He cheated? Well that was a long time ago! Maybe we can start over? And even make ‘MJ’ jealous! Anyhow, we sat in the middle of the room and watch the movie. Out of the corner of my eye…..I saw…. Who? Yes Michael…and Asia. They were so cute together I must admit! He was still mines though! Even if we weren’t together…. I stared at them for over five minutes with Markus watching me… He held my hand tighter and I remembered I was with him. He looked curious and asked me if I was okay. 

  “Kay? What’s wrong…Is everything okay?” He said whispering and looking at me. I looked at him and smiled. “Yes Markus I’m fine.” I said smiling. He nodded and drifted his eyes back to the movie. I looked back at Michael…and sighed. I then looked back up at Markus. I was going to invite this man back to my house… I don’t know why… but I wanted to do it. “Markus? Come back to my house with me…” I said smiling up at him. He raised his eyebrow and nodded. Once the movie was over, the lights cut on and everyone started walking out. I stood up and looked into the face of Michael. I was turned to go out when I looked back on the row before ours he was standing there looking at me. He looked at Markus and then at me. I looked at him and looked at Markus. “Let’s go baby” I said to him and grabbing his hand. He smirked and grabbed my hand back. “Yes ma’am” He said teasingly. I chuckled and walked out before giving Michael one last glance. The look on his face was priceless! He looked like he saw a ghost. Good, that’ll show him that I can find another best friend!

~ My house~ 

“Oh baby, that was good” He said laying back on the bed and holding me tightly.  I smiled at him and rolled over. He smiled and turned me back at him. “What’s wrong?” He said looking into my eyes, and frowning. “Nothing...” I said smiling and sitting up. “You sure?” He looked at me and then at my phone. “That Michael guy texted you” He said looking down at me and handing me my phone. I grabbed my phone, and looked down at it. I saw what Michael text, and text back.

Michael: Hi Kay...     (9:45)

Me: Hi Michael (12:45)

Michael:  How are you? (12:47)

Me: I’m good... very good, and you? (12:49)

Michael: Great, and are you with um that guy?
Me: uh huh Why?
Michael: I was just asking…

I put my phone down and looked at Markus. He looked at me and raised his eyebrow. “What?” I said chuckling. “I’m just wondering if my baby is alright” He said looking curious. “Yeah, I’m good baby!” I said smiling and sitting on his lap. I laid my head back on his chest. “So are we officially backed together now?” He said caressing my arm. “Yes, I want to be back with you” I said smiling and kissing his soft lips. “Mm, round two?” He said flipping me over on my back. I nodded quickly and our magical night began.
