Chapter 10

It had been two weeks since I last talked with Michael.  I didn’t get a call, a text or anything. That was really usually for him.  Maybe he was finally moving on.  I smiled at the thoughts of Michael and I when we were only best friends and not ‘Best friends with feelings’. Everything was so perfect! No  arguments…No anything!! That was until.. We started to know more about how we felt for each other. I sighed turning the TV off and went to bed. This bed was so comfortable! I sighed and couldn’t help but think about Michael. I know I was with Markus and he was with Asia…but I felt something deeper. I mean…before I wanted him…..but now I need him.

His kisses linger on my lips…even after I kiss Markus. Truthfully, I kiss Markus pretending its Michael sometimes. I don’t know how we went this long without speaking.. One of us was gonna crack….and at the rate I was going it was bound to be me.  I looked at my cell phone tempting to text him good night..  No, I wasn’t going to do it… No, I’m stronger than that! I shook off calling him and closed my eyes trying to sleep. As soon as I was comfortable, I heard a voice calling out his name. Was I crazy?! I threw the covers back, and looked around my room. Michael wasn’t there.. I laid back down, shrugging it off when I heard it again.  ‘Michael’ the voice cried out.  I jumped and looked around the room only to find….it was my heart who cried out ‘Michael’…..because that’s what my heart wanted. I looked at my phone, because now my heart had spoken. I grabbed my phone and clicked on the message button. I was really going to do it.  I mean, it was only 10:30pm….I could send him a really quick text. Right? I sighed, and started to text.

Me: Good Night, Michael.

I thought for sure he wasn’t going to text back. He would probably think, ‘Why text now after two weeks?’. I wouldn’t have an answer to that question.  All I could say was ‘my heart told me to’.  I put my phone down on the night stand thinking he wasn’t going to text back. I sat there for a few seconds biting my nails, and my phone started to vibrate. I looked at my phone and slowly started to pick it up. I was afraid to know what he had sent me. I inhaled and clicked on his message.

Michael: Good Night, Kayla… I love you

I instantly smiled. At least he stilled loved me. I sighed in relief and snuggled up under my covers. I had to face my fears. What was I scared of? I was scared that through all of this… I had lost my best friend. 

Me: I love you too Michael

Michael: Yeah?

Me: Mmhm.

Michael: Kayla?

Me: Yes Michael?

Michael: What do you really want? It’s 10:50pm and I know you want something.

Me: What?? Can’t a girl text her best friend to talk?

Michael: Kayla?, we haven’t spoken in two week… tell me what’s really going on?

Me: Michael.. do I have to?

Michael: Kayla? I’m not up for games ok?

Me: I miss you, that’s all…

Michael: Oh.. Where’s Markus, I thought he was keeping you comfy?
Me: Is someone jealous?

Michael: Never….I have Asia remember! ;)

Me: Mmhm, We all know you love me more ;)

I sat there and looked at my phone. He didn’t text back for minutes. What did I do? Maybe I shouldn’t have said that… Maybe he didn’t love me anymore….well not like that anyway. I looked away and as soon as I did my phone vibrated. I looked down at the message and saw it was indeed Michael. I was relieved.

                                                                            Michael: mm, you think so?

Me: Oh, Yeah I know so! Anyways, why did it take you so long to answer back?

Michael: Because, I had to go into another room.

Me: Why? OH, Can’t talk Around Asia?

Michael: Just like you can’t keep your hands off Markus

Me: Someone’s Jealous

Michael: I am not…

Me: Why do you even care?

Michael: I don’t Kay…..

Me: Mmhm, It’s written all over your face

Michael: Kay, Go to sleep girl

Me: Too much for you hm?

Michael: Bye Kay

Me: No I want to know.

Michael: Let me tell you something. Pick up the phone.

I smiled wanting to know what he was up to. I smiled getting deeper into my bed and waiting for him to call. After a minute of waiting he finally called. I answered smiling and wanting to know more.  “Yes Michael?” I said chuckling and waiting to hear what he had to say. To my surprise his voice sounded deeper and he was panting. “Kay…?” He said panting and breathing heavier. “Y-Yes?” I said shocked to what I was hearing. “I can have you…If I wanted you, Got me?” He said his voice slowly getting deeper than before. “Really?” I said raising my eyebrow and smirking. “Mhm….I can show you better than I can tell you” He said obviously smirking. “Show me” I said challenging his words. As soon as I said that, I heard him moving around and grabbing his car keys. What? Was he coming over right now? “M-Michael? What are you doing?” I said listening closely to what I was hearing. I heard him chuckle and then answer me. “I’m coming over…to show you” He said closing a door and then getting into his car. I smirked knowing what was about to go down. At the moment I wasn’t thinking about Markus… He wasn’t going to be home nor was he coming over. He was working late, so I had plenty of time for him to “show” me. “Right now?” I said laughing and hearing him drive. “Uh-Huh…” He said trailing off. “Mkay, I’ll see you when you get here” I said smiling and getting ready to hang up. “Alright baby girl” He said just above a whisper. “Ok” I said hanging up. “Uh, I’ve got to change before he gets here!!” I said smiling and going to put on my lace outfit. It was perfect for this occasion! As soon as I finished getting dressed and settling down on my bed there was a knock on the front door.  I smirked walking down the stairs and going to open the door. I opened it and Michael quickly grabbed me into his arms and kissed me deeply. I moaned softly and kissed back deeper. I knew actually were this was going…..Was I going to stop it? No! I enjoyed it….Every moment actually.
