At the class, We called for volunteers. "Come on campers! I know all of you have been learning some sword fighting! Demostrate a few moves, I wanna see what you've got!" Hazel yelled at the campers. When no one volunteered, I said, "Well then, why not the sons of Zeus and Poseidon who we shall fear? Come down and fight me two on one." They clearly didn't want to. But under the stares of other campers, they finally came.

"Well, just show me what you got. I'll defend and you two attack, ok?"I told them. They were sweating. We got into our fighting position. Then Derrick lunged at me. Bad move. I simply sidestepped. "Ok, pause. What did you just see, campers?" I asked. "He lunged." Someone called out. I nodded, "Yes, and why is that a bad move? Because the opponent can just sidestep the attack. Take note of that. Let's continue." He attempted a weak thrust of his blade which I sidestepped again. I waited and he didn't move. "Is that it?" I asked and he nodded meekly. "What about you?" I asked Josh. He just shook his head. "Seriously? Okay, what ever. Now, campers! Do not ever do what Derrick is doing - standing still. Sword fighting is like a very dangerous dance and when you dance, you move.you don't just stand there and stab your opponent. The other party can just sidestep like I did. Now, I'm gonna attack and you defend."

I started slashing at him and each time, he barely blocked it. I tried a surprise attack at Josh and he failed to block it so my blade grazed his arm. He screamed. Wimp, I thought as I shoved a teeny tiny piece of ambrosia into in wide mouth. That shut him up and healed the wound. I shook my head. "I don't see how you are going to survive a friendly fight, much less a war. The two of you, go to Angel, she'll train you. Now can I have all of you to get into pairs? I want to see how you all spar." I shouted.

The warriors went around, checking on their techniques. "Hold that sword higher, Katie!" I said. "Annabeth get inside Piper's guard." Nico called. "Travis! Stop goofing around!" Calypso said. I went to check on the new boys. Surprisingly, they managed to exchange a few thrusts and parries.

I whistled to get their attention. "Okay! Your all doing fine, who wants to challenge us?" Bekendorf said. A few raised their hands, Travis, Connor, Clarisse, Annabeth, Piper, Butch, Chris, Jake, and Harley. "Ok! We'll pair you up with us and we will spar after a 10 minute break."

After the break, I paired us up.
Leo was with Harley
Bekendorf was with Jake
Silena was with Piper
Hazel was with Butch
Nico was with Travis
Calypso was with Connor
Bianca was with Chris
Thalia was with Clarisse
Rhodania was with Annabeth.

They all gave me a look like, seriously? I just shrugged. We got in our position. We went one by one and  Leo went first with Harley who had grown. Harley swiped at Leo's head and Leo ducked. While ducking, he swiped at Harley's leg, making Harley jump. Harley slashed at Leo and Leo blocked, once, twice, thrice. Finally, Leo disarmed Harley. "Nice fight." Leo said, shook hands with Harley then left the ring and reappeared sitting on the audience stands.

Next was Bekendorf and Jake. They exchanged thrusts and parries. Bekendorf feinted stabbed at Jake and when Jake sidestepped to the right, Bekendorf's sword smoothly followed and ended it's course at Jake's neck. They shook hands and left.

Then it was Silena and Piper. Piper tried to distract Silena with random commands but Silena was a daughter of Aphrodite too. So she ignored Piper who looked shocked that someone ignored her charmspeak. Then Silena spoke, "Piper, I'm immune to charmspeak, sorry, but you lose this fight." Monotone, yes but charmspeak much more powerful than Piper's still laced her words. And true to her word, she disarmed Piper as soon and Silena finished her sentence. Piper looked at Silena with obvious respect. "Good trick, sis." Piper said, holding out her hand. Silena just nodded, shook hands, and left.
-+×÷After all the fights and now it's Rhodania's fight against Annabeth÷×+-
I readied my sword. Annabeth still had that jagged drakon bone sword from Damesen from her time in Tartarus. "Still the same old sword, eh?" I asked. "It has sentimental value for me." She answered smoothly. "Really does." Before she can answer, I started the fight. I slashed at her and she blocked, I kept advancing, changing my pattern, slashing, stabbing, feinting moves. Then I backed up, and she advanced, her legs far apart. Bad move. I rolled under them. I know, not ladylike at all but who cares? I stopped behind her, stood up and had her throat at swordpoint before she realised what was happening. She surrendered. "Un-ladylike, but still fair play." Annabeth said as we shook hands.
