Chapter 2

We went to the mess hall, heads held high. Thalia and I got permission from Lady Artemis to eat with the rest then we got some food for our brothers.

We met up in Poseidon's cabin along with Leo and Calypso. Sure enough, the two cousins were there. And they were sobbing . I think the fact that their girlfriend broke up with them had just sunk in. We set the food on the table and went to comfort them. The girls enveloping them sisterly/cousinly hugs while the guys patted their backs awkwardly.

After a few more sniffles, they finally stopped. We gave them the food and ate in silence for awhile. Then Percy cleared his throat. "Thanks guys, thanks for not believing in the newbies, thanks for supporting us." He said gratefully, he nudge Jason who choked on his sandwich then thanked us for bringing food. We laughed at Jason but waved off their gratitude.

"No problem, we're all family and family support each other." I said. "Not all..." Jason muttered. "Jason, come on! Piper and Annabeth are bitches if they actually believe the boys, which they did. I'm sorry." Will said. Then they told us the proper details : the two of them heard screaming and went out of the cabin to see what's wrong. Then they saw those two boys being chased by two dracanae so they killed them but by then, the whole camp has woken up and the boys started their ridiculous story. Soon, we were all laughing and joking around like family, which we were. Just then, someone came in.

"AHHH! Just what do you jerks think your doing in my cabin?!" One of the new boys said, standing in the doorway. It was only then that I realised his eye was sea green. Wonderful. I had a jerk and liar for a brother. "What do you think your doing in my cabin?" Percy sneered. "I just got claimed. I'm a son of Poseidon! Duh. The name's Derrick, babes." He said, winking at us girls. We tried not to gag. "Listen here, boy. You better treat my cousin well. Don't ever let me catch you bullying him. You'll regret it if you messed with him." Thalia, the over protective cousin sneered at Derrick, spitting out boy. "Thals, get away, my turn." I muttered and she obediently stepped to the side, glaring and Derrick. "Listen here, boy I am his sister, also a Hunter of Artemis so do not mess with the only boy, no, only man Artemis and the hunt respects, or you'll find your podex decorated with various different arrows in a heartbeat. Tell your friend that too." I threatened. I saw his legs shake a little. I just muttered, "Wimp. Let's go guys. Oh, and Derren? Put on extra armour for tonight. Especially... hmm, you know what? Everywhere." I teased. We left the cabin with a fuming Derrick yelling after us his correct name.
