... and I opened my draw to my hot buns, and put my hair in a bun. I combed out all the sides hair and when I was done I did my make-up, and my mom came in my room with Chloe.
" Hey Brooke, someone wanted to say hi." My mom says
" Hi Chloe, sleep good last night." I say
" We both did, I think she is getting used to sleeping all night by her self." My mom says and Chloe giggles
" Good, what's for breakfast." I say
" Pancakes, and wild berry smoothies." My mom says
" K, I'll be down in a couple minutes." I say
" K, lets go Chloe." She say to Chloe and giggles
Chloe has gotten so big in the past 4 months, she can say mom, but not dad yet. I have been thinking about how I'm going to tell my parents about the army thing. I know they are going to be happy for me, but it has just been us 3 for the past 2 years. I don't think they are ready to let me go yet, expesically to the army were I'm putting my life on the line. I get my bag and my purse and head down stairs. I sit next to Hayden and across from my mom and dad, but my dad is on the phone. He comes back and doesn't look happy. I go get my food and sit right back down
" Who was that dad." I say to my dad
" My boss, he needs me back to work." He says and doesn't seem happy about it
" When do you leave." My mom says
" After Christmas break." He says
" So we are on the topic..." I started to say but got nervous of saying
" Brooke, the topic about the army." My dad says and gets a little grin on his face
" I was thinking of joining after I graduate." I say and he smiles
" Are you doing it for your brother cause he never got to do it, and the cop Chloe." My mom says
" Yeah, and when I was done with my tours I was going to be a cop." I say
" So your future says put your life on the line." My dad says
" Yeah, are you mad." I say while putting my dishes away
" No, I knew one of my kids were going to follow my trail, but I didn't think it was going to be you." My dad says and we laugh"
" N....o....." My mom says shyly
" Mom, what does this mean." I say while getting this badge from the counter, and I knew it wasn't my dad's because his is in his safe
" My badge." She say and my mouth drops
" What, why don't you tell stories like dad does." I say and my dad grabs her hand
" I don't talk about it because, I was the only one to come back home alive." She says and I got give her a hug
" You don't talk about your stories because you were the only one that came home, and you tell your stories because your team came back." I say
" Yep, you should get to school we will finish this during supper." My dad says
" K bye, Love you." I say and grab my keys and drive to school.
I hope on my car and drive to school. I go to the office and grab my schedule and they give my the freshmen papers, and they give my the announcements paper to say at the assemble. I go put my stuff in my locker and grab my phone. I head to my office in the office and do the announcements.
" Good Morning East high, Welcome freshmen's to East high. Today we are having an assemble, so homeroom teachers if your name is first please go to the way top of the bleachers. So Mr. kilter, Ms. Kilter, Ms. Justin, Mr. Wang, Ms. Angela, please head down to the lower gym. The rest of the teachers please head down to the lower gym right now." I say over the microphone and my secretary comes in with papers.
" Good morning Brooke." Gabby says
" Good morning to you too Gaby, lets go kill this assemble." I say and we leave the office and head to the gym
We walk in the gym and I see the principle and he comes over to me and says " I thought after what happened with you last year would keep you away, but I stand corrected." He says and I grin
" Nobody or nothing can keep me away from East High." I say and enter on stage
" Hi guys, I'm Brooke and I'm a senior this year, and I work in the office during periods 2, 4, 6, if you need any thing talk to the office or when my secretary is there to sign up to meet with me. Today it is mostly about you freshmen, so if I call your name please come down here. Mike, John, Tony, Haylee, Sky, Michelle, Akier, and Barnes. So you guys are number 1, You guys are the most athlete in your freshmen class, and you guys are going up against the most athlete kids in the senior class which are, Hayden, Carson, Johnny, Maddie, Jojo, Jayden, Brooke, Jamie. These Senior has gone through this course already and they lost, but most of all the freshmen that cross that finish line grow up to work harder. First up is a race around the mile, we will watch on the screen and the crew is out there. People who are racing are Mike, and Johnny. Get out there go.
1 hour later
The Senior's won again, and I went back to my office and did some work for the office I needed to get done. Gabby walks in and says " Brooke there someone here to see you." " K, let them in." They walk in and I get mad. " What are you doing here." I say and I'm mad now."
" Brooke calm down, why you so mad at me for." Serena says
" Well let me see, you put me in a coma, broke my knee cap, dispensed me, and then expelled me my junior year when I was mostly dead. That's why I'm mad at you." I say to her
" You made Hayden brake up with me." She says
" No she didn't make me brake up with you, I did it all by my self." Hayden says when he comes right in my office and Gabby saying Sorry.
" Come back for me." Serena says
" Hayden now you have to pick, which one." I say to him and he grins
" I.... pick.......Brooke..., yeah I pick Brooke." He says and I hug him
" Ahhhhhh, you guys made a wrong mistake." She says and walks out of my office
