"So how are you and Edward?" Niall blurted out.
I tucked the recorder safely in my pocket, then blushed at the mention of his name.
"Good." I said, thinking of our last date, where he had taken me out to Nandos. His floppy curls and dazzling smile. He was gilded all over with perfection.
"Okay. What do you want to----"
Niall was cut off by a booming noise that sounded outside. It shocked both Niall and i. Eli startled awake, and his eyes desperately looked hungry for mom, as he was scared, adding to his new wakeup.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!" I screeched, holding on to the couch as i felt a tingling sensation under my boots.
I looked at the chandeleir, hanging above the dining room. It shook, rocking violently from left to right. I closhed my ears and plugged my ears as soon as it snapped from the hook, and crashed on the table. Shards and diamonds scattered across our woodenboards.
Niall ran over to my kitchen, where mom was.
As soon as he saw her in a panicky state, holding for dear life on the table, Niall ran back to me, handed me Eli, and motioned me to stand under the doorway.
He ran back to the kitchen, scooped up mom in his hands, and ran next to me under the doorway.
"This will kill us, if we stand under the doorway!" Mom suddenly shrieked, and jumped out of Niall's arms, pulling us towards the bulky couch in the living room.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Niall asked resisting to go.
"We need to lay in fetal position by the couch. It leaves a void, so we won't be crushed by the thickness of our bones, when the door jams into us." Mom said placing us all in safe positions.
I heard crashes, screams and crying. The noised mostly came from outside, but i saw bookcases trembling, then soon falling over, tables getting crushed.
Then finally, a huge chunk of white, dusty ceiling fell on the bulky couch, and smothered it in powder, jabbing into the leather.
"Mom!" I cried out, squeezing her arm, trying to avoid moving Eli's position, as he was crying in her arms.
She squeezed back. "It'll be alright honey."
Then i saw nothing but darkness, dark dark dark.
