We entered the Great Hall after McGonagall explained the houses and how points work.
" When I call your name, come forth so you can be sorted." She says.

" Potter, Harry!"
There were instant whispers. How was he here. That their house might be lucky. Etc. it took a while to decide before the answer got out.
" Gryffindor!" It yelled.
He smiled and joined the others. I rolled my eyes. Surprised he wasn't in Slytherin. Gryffindor started yelling that they got Potter.
" Thomas, Dean!"

" Turpin, Lisa!"

" Weasley, Ronald!"
He stepped up, enormously nervous. I could tell. He was shaking. He sat down. It took a while before the answer spat out.
" Gryffindor!"
Dang it.
" Weasley, Zackary!"
I stepped up, obviously not scared. I was proud, excited, hopeful. My entire family was in Gryffindor. But I really didn't want to be with Ronald, but I wanted to be with my friends. I sat down and the hat was placed on my head.
" I see a Slytherin here, despite being a Weasley.." it says.
" I know I know. I'm torn. I don't know if I want to be with my friends, or get as far away as possible from Ronald the little.."
" Now now, no profanity. I know where you belong, and oh do too. But you think you're family will abandon you for being in that house. Not accept you. Not even your sibling Percy and the Twins. Scared you will continued to be bullied by your brother. A true Gryffindor wouldn't back down to take him down." It says.
" You're right. I need to stand up to Ron, do what we both know is right." I say.
Before I know it, my face flushed at the answer.
