The Journey Begins

As Captain Hook woke up at the crack of dawn, he decided to start planning the best approach to bring the Darling boys back. Hours later when his crew woke up, he decided to go and inform them of their new journey across the world. Or rather to another world. As soon as he exited his quarters, the conversations of his loyal crew diminished and they lined up in a straight line ready for whatever orders that their Captain gave them.

"Men, as much as I hate to say this I have to. That wretched devil has caused another family pain yet again. This time it's Michael and John Darling who are his latest victims. I know how you all feel about that....place, but, those boys need us. Now tell me, are we afraid?" asked Hook.

"NO!" yelled his crew,

"Are we going to do whatever we can to bring those boys back?!" asked Hook. His men were more than certain of their answer.

"YES!" responded his crew. Hook gave his signature smirk as he proudly gazed at his crew.

"THEN WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?! LET'S GET THOSE BOYS BACK!" yelled Hook as he crossed the ship to the wheel so he could direct the ship to the correct direction.

His men were well seasoned to the ways of the sea, they already knew what they needed to do without the Captain telling them and did it with ease. Sails were dropped, necessities were brought on board, and then the Captain realized that his first mate and most trusted colleague was nowhere to be seen.

"HAS ANYBODY SEEN SMEE?!" yelled Hook.

"NO CAP'N!" responded his crew.

"Where in England could that blithering idiot be?" muttered Hook to himself.

As Hook's crew diligently continued with their duties and Hook himself was busy studying the horizon and navigating by the stars, the Captain's sharp ears heard a creak, and he turned around to see none other than his best friend Archibald Smee smiling at him like an idiot and....wearing no shirt, 'but, thankfully pants' thought Hook.

"Would you mind telling me where you were Smee?" asked Hook much like a mother would to her child. Hook was already upset that Smee wasn't on the deck at the actual time he was supposed to be and the fact that Smee was focusing on everything but his captain was making the captain more frustrated than he already was.

"I would Jamie ol' bean, But, I feel like you already know where I was." Said Smee with
a smirk.

At that moment Hook heard a feminine voice calling Smee's name and saw a young lady wearing Smee's shirt. Hook rolled his eyes as he went back to the task he was working on.

"Goodbye Olivia my love it has truly been an honor spending this most passionate night with you. But I am afraid that I am leaving England and will never return. " Smee cried out dramatically.

"MY NAME IS MARY!" yelled out the young lady and indignantly stomped away from the docks muttering to herself about the 'no good sailor'.

"That was very entertaining Smee really, now would you mind putting on a shirt and getting to work?" asked Hook, sick of Smee's shenanigans that were always present at the worst of times

"Right away Cap'n" Smee mockingly saluted Hook while walking towards his quarters. A few moments later he emerged out of his quarters wearing a shirt and his trademark red hat. He walked over to the Captain's side and asked him where the destination was for the Jolly Roger.

"We're going back" said Hook, no more details were needed to tell Smee where the ship was being sailed to. Smee looked at his best friend with empathy. The entire crew had seen the horrors of that dreaded place, but, none of them were as badly affected as the captain.

As Hook walked over to the wheel of the ship he heard Smee remark with a laugh "You know, you would be much more attractive if you simply smiled Jamie ol' boy."

Smee was not wrong, James Hook with his piercing blue eyes, short, black hair that looked soft to the touch, lightly tanned skin, deep, soothing voice and strong, tall physique was in simple terms; a man that looked as if sculpted by the gods themselves. It was not easy to make him smile, not at all, but the few that got to saw it have said that it was a smile like no other.

Archibald Smee was not particularly bad looking himself. His laughing hazel eyes were seemingly always filled with joy and happiness. His light brown hair was always cut short because in his words "it's too much of a chore" and his warm voice is always filled with laughter and jokes. There is never a moment in which he is not smiling and if he sees others that are not smiling he makes it his goal to make them laugh. Height wise, he stood below Hook by only a couple inches but physique wise they were very similar.

As Hook heard Smee's comment, he scoffed and continued observing the horizon. Smee stood beside him and they both shared a silent conversation. A crewmate ran up the stairs of the Jolly Roger, saluted both Hook and Smee and said that the ship was ready to set sail. Hook thanked and dismissed him and then yelled out to the entire crew "Get ready men, we are leaving London." As the crew braced themselves, Hook approached the wheel of the ship and waited as the ship faced the second star on the right and set sail towards the island that he hated with every fiber of his being.
