"MAN THE SAILS!!! BACK AWAY FROM THE STARBOARD!!! WE WILL NOT LET A PUNY STORM TAKE US DOWN TODAY MEN!!!" Hook ordered as he and his crew were trying to escape the storm. He could sense that his crew were scared, after all, if you weren't then you probably weren't human; but they did not take a moment's rest, they simply pushed on in order to arrive to that dreaded island. He stopped conversing with his men and continued steering while he, the men, and the Jolly Roger were faced by a barrage of rain and thunder. The once calm waves now looked as if could easily swallow the mighty Roger. The Jolly Roger was a ship like no other. The red oak and canvas sails only made her stronger than she already was. Her crew were capable of living in her for six months without fear of running out of food and water, the three masts that held the giant, canvas sails made her capable of reaching speeds up to thirty knots and although she was not as large as other ships, she was faster. The crew made sure that she was always at the top of her condition, after all, they needed to take care of their home.
"JAMES!!!!" Smee yelled fearfully. "SHE'S NOT GOING TO ABLE TO WITHSTAND ANY MORE OF THIS!!!!"
"TELL THE CREW THAT WE JUST NEED TO WAIT A BIT LONGER!!!" Hook answered back.
"OK BUT I DON'T THINK THAT WE HAVE A FEW MOMENTS!!!!" Smee responded while running down the stairs to help the rest of the crew.
'Yes we do' Hook thought. 'I'm sure of it.' He was confident that the Jolly Roger would not let them down.
After a few minutes, which felt like hours for the crew, they felt a change come over the ocean. It was not the storm dying down, no..... not at all. In fact it was getting stronger. When the crew stopped their jobs to look and see what was happening, they saw a wave bigger than London herself. A crew mate ran up the stairs toward the Captain to inform him of the gargantuan wave they were heading for. What Hook said surprised everyone.
"Yes I know" he replied calmly, "I'm purposely heading toward it."
After this statement the man stared shockingly at the Captain, scared that the crew might lose their lives and worried because of how calm the Captain was, but he had complete and utter faith in the Captain and knew that Hook would not let them down.
When there was about a mile left until the wave took the Jolly Roger and her crew into the unknown depths of the ocean, Smee heard the Captain yell for him.
"SMEE STEER THE SHIP I NEED TO GRAB SOMETHING FROM MY QUARTERS!!!" He yelled.
Smee had no time whatsoever to process what the Captain said, he simply followed the given order and hoped that he would not die today.
Hook ran into his quarters and observed how everything in his room was in shambles. His desk and chair were overturned, charcoal pencils were rolling along the wooden floor, and the maps along with the pencils were strewn all across the floor. He did not care, for he came for one object; the clay jar. He looked all over his room trying to find it. When he did, he grabbed it as if it was the way for the crew to be saved. He sprinted up the stairs to the wheel and ignored the curses that his best friend fired at him. Instead Hook opened the jar, put his hand into it, and pulled out a handful of whatever content was inside and threw it onto the deck of the ship. The content was shimmering, gold dust that floated in the air. The crew stared transfixed at the largest amount of fairy dust they had ever seen while it was seemingly enveloping the ship. Not a moment too soon, the Jolly Roger was lifted up into the night sky.
Relief hit the men instantly. They waited for their Captain to give anymore orders if he had any. However Hook dismissed his men and the men proceeded to head down to their quarters while thanking the Captain for saving their lives and for letting them sleep even if it is for only a few hours. The Captain bid them all 'Goodnight' and headed to the wheel where he saw Smee was still waiting for him.
"I still don't understand how it's possible for you to have that much fairy dust on hand." Smee said.
"That my dear Archibald is a answer you will find out soon enough." Hook responded teasingly. Lightening up the mood tremendously.
After a moment of silence Hook dismissed Smee and took over the wheel, Smee went downstairs and Hook was left alone, steering his ship into the star-filled night sky. When morning arrived the first thing that Smee did was head on over to the steering wheel to see how Hook was doing. As he expected, Hook was awake but sleep deficient. Smee ordered Hook to go get some sleep and that when the ship got somewhere then he would wake Hook up. Hook decided not to argue and let Smee take control commandeering the ship and left to go sleep for a couple hours. As soon as Hook enters his quarters he heads over to his hammock. At first he couldn't sleep. He was constantly pondering if he made the right decision to save the Darling boys and if risking the lives of his crew was worth it, he came to the conclusion that no family needs to suffer as long as he could do something to stop the demon from kidnapping more children, content with his decision he finally fell asleep. His slumber was disturbed by a hand knocking on his door, as he groggily opened the door a crewmate told him that the ship was gently floating down into the ocean, this quickly woke him up and alongside the crewmate he ran up to the deck of the ship where he saw the faces of the rest of his crew. Smee silently went to his right-hand side and joined Hook in watching the descent of the ship and the all-too-familiar island. After a minute or two the Jolly Roger touched land and her crew had finally arrived at Neverland.
