Chapter 11 - I Love You

Branch's POV

We woke up early in the morning and what happened last night is still stamped on my mind. Did that really happened? Or was it just a dream? Whatever it is, I should warn Poppy about it to make sure that the plan wouldn't be a success. But, if I tell everything about it and it wasn't true after all, Poppy would be angry again and the blame will be on me. But what if it's true? Fine. I need to tell this to her.

"Poppy..." I whispered.

"Yes?" She answered.

"I'm warning you... I just...I just saw Creek and this mysterious Troll last night....and..and..." Oh no, why did I forgot their conversation?

"Really? Do you know who this Troll is?"

"No. But it has powers. And...and, this Troll and that Creek, they...they had plans to steal the throne! And...uh..."

"Are you sure about this, Branch?" Poppy asked.

"I think so..." I answered.

"But what if it's not true? Maybe it's just a dream you thought it was true?" She said as if she doesn't believe in what I am saying.

"I know it's true! And the rock thing? It was just Creek's plan to impress you!"

"What? Are you sure about this? Or you're just inventing?" She said.

"Wait, you don't believe me?" I asked.

"It's not like that Branch. But, I know you're angry at Creek. And I don't know if I should believe on what you're saying."

So, she doesn't believe me? She trusts Creek more than me? Is that what she mean?!

"Believe me, Poppy. I know you trust me." I said.

"Okay..." She answered. Then Creek came.

"What?! Do you even believe in this man? I mean..." Creek sniggered and continued, "How can you be sure of what you are suspecting on me? Do you even have proof?!"

I chuckled and said, "C'mon, stop pretending that you don't know what happened last night! You were with a magical Troll, planning evil things!"

"What are you talking about? Do you even believe in those nasty lies, Poppy?!" Creek answered.

"I...I....uh..." Poppy looked very confused.

"Stop controlling Poppy, you Creek!" I shouted.

"What? You're the one who's making stories just to let Poppy believe you!" Shouted Creek.

"I'm not lying! Y'know, you're a traitor, right? And a traitor is always a traitor!"

"I said sorry Branch, you know that!"

"STOP FIGHTING!" Poppy shouted and angrily walked out.

Poppy's POV

I don't know if I should believe Branch or not. Because I know how he is angry at Creek. And that may lead to things like that. But that still warns me that I shouldn't trust Creek that much. Oh...I am so confused right now!

But for now, I'm kinda mad at these two.

We rode on Eagle and she flew. I thought that today's journey would be silent. But I was wrong. Their fight was brought until here in the air.

"Why are you pretending things, Branch?!" Creek shouted.

"I'm just trying to warn Poppy from your evil plans!" Branch answered angrily.

"So, you're trying to warn her because of your silly dream?!"

"I'm just trying to protect her! I'm trying to warn her not to be too close at you!"

"You're just warning her from your stupid lies!" Creek shouted.

"Stop being such a liar, CREEK!" Branch shouted and emphasized his name.

"Will you please stop fighting?! Creek, if he's lying, why are you trying to insist even if you know that you're right? And you, Branch, stop insisting on something that you're not even sure yet!" I began to shout.

"But I know that it's true!" Branch answered.

"How can you be sure? And you always start the fight!" I said.

"What? Me?!" Branch shouted.

"Yeah. Poppy, he always hurt my feelings." Creek added.

"Hey! Stop lying!" Branch shouted.

"You always start the fight by saying rude things on me!" Creek shouted.

"I did those because you always piss me off!" Branch said angrily

I'm trying to stop them but they didn't listen.

They are still yelling at each other. And now, they're pushing each other and was starting a fight. And because of that, Branch pushed Creek and Creek accidentally bumped me, which made the map fly away.

"No!!! The map!" I shouted.

"I....I'm sorry!" Branch said.

"Ugh that's it! I'm gonna go at the Poppies alone!" I shouted.

"Wait!" Branch said.

"It's all your fault." Creek whispered to Branch.

I was just gonna command Eagle to bring me down but Branch pulled my arm and said, "Wait! Where are you going?"

Third Person's POV

"Let me go!" Poppy shouted, trying to remove Branch's arm to hers.

"I'm....I'm sorry..."

"Ugh. Why are you being such a freak, Branch?!" Poppy shouted. "Now, because of what you started, you just lost the most important thing we need to guide us and, it....it makes me...wanna....hate you! Why are you so over-protective?! I'm not a baby, Branch! And now you're becoming a.....a paranoid!!"

"Wow." Branch chuckled. "Now you're calling me a freak, a paranoid, over-protective, and now, you're starting to hate me. Well, thank you Poppy!" He added.

The Snack Pack just whispered to each other, "Umm...let's just give them privacy."

And then Branch shouted, "You know why?! You know why huh?! It's because I love you! I loved you so much that I'm becoming a paranoid. And I did everything to protect you."

Poppy's eyes widened and she was surprised about what Branch just said.

"I loved you more than anything, and you're the only loved one that's left in my life! But you, you're being like that! I always protect you and did everything just for you. But you didn't even realize it the whole time! But that Creek? A traitor who lets us be eaten by the Bergens? You...you trust him more than me! And you know why I kept on warning you from the Bergens before? Because I don't want to happen to you the same thing that happened to my grandma! But now, you're calling me a freak?! Fine! You want Creek, right? Then go with him! Go without me." Branch ran to the other side of Eagle and sat there alone, turning back.

"Branch..." Poppy began to feel tears falling on her cheeks. She tried to go to Branch, but the Snack Pack won't let her.

"Poppy, just let him first." Creek said.

"It's okay, Poppy. He will be okay soon." DJ added.

Guy Diamond went near Branch and said, "Branch, are you okay?"

"Leave me alone." He answered, not looking at him.

Guy Diamond then followed his order and sighed.
