Chapter 16 - Triumph

Branch's POV

I feel so weak. I can't move much. When I try to move, it's like my body's dragging me back and makes me very exhausted. I feel like all my energy's drained.

"Stand....up...Branch! You can't...let Poppy....alone." I said to myself, trying to stand up. But when I'm standing, my knees weaken and I end up on falling down.

"Ugh! I'm....just a....useless...boyfriend!" I shouted to myself and thumping the ground with annoyance, knowing that I'm just worthless for my girlfriend.

"Branch....don't...say that....it's not your...fault that you....can't help her..." Guy Diamond said.

"But...I have to...be...there for...her..." I said. "But, if something...happened to her, I will never....fo..forgive...myself."

Poppy's POV

"What are you doing here? How did you escaped from my trap?" Ivory asked.

"That's a thing you won't need to ask." I said and showed her a box.

"No...no! Don't open it! No!"

"Oh yes I will." I said with a smirk. "But, I will not gonna open it only if you do what I want."

"And what is it?" She asked.

"You should break the spell and don't kill my father."

"Hmm...but in two conditions." She said. "Like what I said before, to break the spell, it requires the life of the one who wished it." She added and looked at Creek.

"No...no, Creek..." I whispered.

Creek sighed and said, "No Poppy, I deserve this. For all of the mistakes I did."

"But Creek..."

"But before I die, there's something I want to tell you, Poppy." He said.

I shook my head and felt tears falling on my cheeks.

"I admit that....that I really don't like you before. I just wanted to be a king. But now I realized that...I had developed feelings for you."

"Creek..."

"I'm sorry, Poppy. I deserve to be punished." He said. Creek looked at Ivory and said, "You can get my life now..."

"No....Creek!" I shouted. Ivory began to get his soul. Creek fell down and lost his life. "No..." I went near him, shedding tears. "Are you happy now?! Just break the spell!!"

"Not yet. Because I have another condition. Don't worry, this is the last." She smirked. "You should give me the throne. I should be the queen. Then I'll break the spell."

I sighed and said, "Okay... Just for my people."

Then, I gave her my crown and she laughed nefariously.

"Yes... Yes! Now everyone, bow to the new queen!" She shouted, controlling every Troll to bow to her by her magic. "From now on, you and your father will be my slaves!"

She removed the magic and everyone stops bowing. Ivory saw the box I was holding, making her quickly snatch it from me. "Give me that!" She said, knowing that I will soon open the box and absorb her powers.

"Now, your majesty?" I said. "Can you make us back to normal again for the sake of your people?"

"Well, this place can be so boring if they're too weak so...." She said and showed the glowing balls, probably energy from Creek, and gave it to everyone. And that made me feel normal again.

"We're okay!" Everyone said happily. And they all hugged each other.

Branch's POV

It's been a long time since Poppy went to Ivory to stop her, and until now, we are still feeling weak and feeble.

But then, I felt that something went inside me, and that made me feel like I'm normal again.

"Guys, we're okay!" DJ said.

"Yes! I could dance again..." GD added with an auto-tuned voice.

"C'mon, guys! We need to go there as soon as we can." I said.

"But wait! How can we go back if we don't know where we are?" Chenille asked.

"You have a point. But, what are we gonna do now?" I said.

Then, we heard a familiar bird scream coming from the skies. We looked from above and saw Eagle flying above us.

"Eagle!" We all shouted.

Eagle went down and placed her wing. We rode on her back and she flew.

"Eagle, take us to the Troll Village. Immediately." I said.

Poppy, we're coming for you...

Poppy's POV

Everyone hugged each other.

"Okay okay stop the drama. And Poppy, get out of my sight now." Said the newly crowned, Queen Ivory.

"Yes, your majesty." I bowed. "But before that, I have a gift for you as the newly crowned queen." I said, getting something inside my hair.

"And what is it, slave?" She asked.

"Well, the box you're holding..." I paused, getting the thing from my hair which is actually the original enchanted box. "....is the fake one!" I quickly opened the box and her powers was gone. Her face became old, which is right for her age.

"No...no...NO!!!" She screamed angrily. "My....my beautiful face! My powers! What have you done?!" She shouted.

I stood up and smirked at her.

"Give me that!" Ivory was just going to get the magical box but I quickly threw it to dad.

"Dad, catch!" I yelled.

"Ugh, how dare you do this to your queen?!" She shouted. "Guards! Get this slave!"

"No." I said confidently. I quickly get the crown from her and put it back on my head. Then I said, "Guards, get her."

"Ugh! How dare you!" She was just going to slap me but the guards already got her. Then she told the guards, "Let me go! I'm your queen! She just stole my crown! I mean, I'm still a princess!"

But the guards didn't listened to her.

"Are you happy now?! Are you happy now, Peppy? Queen Poppy?!" She shouted. "Just, just kill me!"

"Aunt Pepper, I do not kill. I am not like you." I said.

She was surprised about what I said, then the guards put her in the prison. They put chains on her hands and feet and she was imprisoned in the deepest, well-secured cage under the Troll Village.

"Poppy...you made it." Dad embraced me. "I'm so proud of you."

"Thanks dad."

"I'm so happy you're safe..." Dad added.

Suddenly, Branch and the Snack Pack came with Eagle.

"We're here to help!" They shouted.

"Oh..." Guy Diamond said as they realized that it's done.

Omigosh... I'm so sad that this book is almost gonna end... :'(
