“I’m sorry auntie, I really am. I didn’t mean to be out that long I just… uhh, had something coming up. We had a revival and--“

“What? Revival? What exactly is that? You’re can wear a dress speak like a goody goody kid, but you’re not gonna fool me, I know you!” my aunt exclaimed. I bowed my head and sighed.

“This is not my dress aunt, they let me borrow it and I’m really sorry, I was really in a church I hope you believe me.” I said with my head down.

"What I'm saying is, YOU DIDN’T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL, CRAZY BRAT!!” She screamed in an even louder voice.
“I know… I’m sorry auntie. I’ll make it up to you this week. I’ll serve in the restaurant after classes for the whole week…” I decided to lower my voice to avoid another scream. My aunt just stared at me saying nothing. It’s as if she doesn’t believe what she is seeing.

“Psshh, Crazy- crazy- crazy…” she whispered as she went in the apartment. I followed behind her as I sighed with relief. Thank God she didn’t fret much, if that is even called 'not' fretting much.
I entered my room and got changed. I wonder why only now do I smell the stench of cigar in here. And my, it ain’t good. I’ve got a lot of cleaning up to do.

I slowly sat up from my bed as I heard the phone ring. I approached it and picked up the phone.
    “Hello?”
“Yes, Good morning is this Mr. Eyasan?”
“Yes, this is him. What can I do for you?”
“This is Kinsforde University, this is to inform you that you just got accepted for the job. You begin next week.”
“Oh, that’s great. Thank you ma’am. I’ll be there that day. God bless you..”
      “Likewise”
I put the phone down and felt the gladness in my heart. Finally, I’m back to teaching again. Praise God, He is indeed good. I do this for His Glory.

  Johanna’s POV
I took my things and put it in my bag. I looked at my watch, 7:12. I have to get going now or I’ll be late for school. I haven’t showed up in a week and I know I got a lot of catching up to do. I’ve got a big chance of failing, but I pray, just as I was saved from the cliffs sin, I’d be saved from this cliffs of failing grades. Ooh.
I went out and took the stairs as I went down. And as soon as I went out the building, I felt the wind brush through me. I wonder why, everything I see seems to be new. Although I’ve went through these streets a million times, it now seems as if it's my first time seeing it again. The colours are reflecting, the skies seem to be more vibrant. For the first time in my life, I felt happy, without any drug or crazy act. I felt joy. It really is different when God is present. I rode a bus and went on to the school.
                                                                       ***
“Anna!!! Gooood morning! Hey! You owe me one why’d you disappear the other night?” Mercy exclaimed as she ran to me. I stepped back a bit as I smiled at her.

“Well, I got called out by 'Someone'.” I replied as I walked with her,

“Heeey, wait.” She suddenly stopped walking and took my shoulders. She then began to look at me wondering.

“Something seems to be different in you…” she continued to survey me.

“Tell me what, a new perfume?”

“My perfume is the same one since last year.”

“Oh, I know! A new shirt! Haha wow you suit pink huh…. Hahaha”

“This shirt is with me for 3 years now.” I saw her smile disappear.

"Hmm? Whatever. But I know something’s different. You’re gonna spill it any time soon anyway.” We continued to walk in the corridors.

“Yeah, I myself feel it, haha.” I replied.

“Oh hey, by the way. Did you see the new Professor??? My!! Haha you’ll get you jaws hanging when you lay your eyes on that one.” Oh my, I know this pitch, she must’ve really liked the one she’s saying.

"Heyy, before you got any ideas, can I remind you that you have a boyfriend??? And a singer!”

“Ya-ya… but two of them isn’t that bad right????”

“No. Not at all two of them ain’t ever gonna be ‘not bad’” I replied as I hit her shoulders,

“Hahaha, I got it, I got it.” Seriously this friend of mine. I just smiled and entered into my class.

“See ya later, Mer..” she waved and went on smiling.
I sat on one of the chairs at the back and sighed. Finally some silence… I lowered my head on the table and tried to sleep a bit. I didn’t get enough sleep last night because of fixing. It took me almost 6 hours fixing the apartment. After a few minutes I heard my classmates greet. The Prof. must be here already. I lifted my head and I saw a vague image of a man in front.

“Good morning.” Now that sounded familiar?

Where was ma’am Gomez? Wasn’t she our teacher in this subject? I shook my head and rubbed my eyes. And little by little my sight became clearer…..
      Oh my, Is this real???
           Is that…… Pastor?
