Melchour’s POV
In the midst of the trees, I lifted my eyes and looked upon the skies. The stars are scattered all across the night sky. I began to feel the awe at God’s wonderful design, this grand and beautiful design. Indeed the heavens declare the Glory of God. The ones who have blinded their eyes to see this reality, is deceiving themselves. As one denies the existence of God... The same actually acknowledges it too.Tomorrow I begin classes, with God’s help and leading I pray that the Truth be revealed in each word I speak. May God’s will be done.

I got down from the car and headed for the main entrance of the school. There is already many students and teachers running about. I checked my watch and found out its 7:12. It wasn’t very long when a man in formal came to me and held out his hand. One of the teachers I presume.
“Good morning, Mr. Melchour Eyasan right? I am Mr. Dulnuan, the head of the social studies department. Welcome.” I moved forward and shook his hand.
“Yes, glad to be here sir. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He nodded and motioned me to follow.
“So, how many years have you been teaching so far? I saw your form and found out you’re only 27. How young.” Mr. Dulnuan said as we walked.
“Yes sir, I am 27. And I’ve only been teaching for three years. As you have probably seen sir, I’ve only begun three years ago.” I replied.
“Oh wow, and that is an amazement. There we’re many who applied here at this university with more qualifications and experience, not to offend you’re skills, but I must say you’re lucky to be the one accepted. Must be really an honor for you sir.” He said with a rather assertive tone.
“Oh yes sir, it is an honor. It was more like a blessing rather than luck to me…” I replied as I lowered my head.
“Hmm, a religious one huh? Oh well good luck, or should I say God bless to you sir…hehe” the head said as he lead me to our department’s faculty. I can’t avoid to notice the way he says religious. Hmm, must be something fishy about it but I’m guessing he is not a believer at all? His aura feels different. But still, shouldn’t give much attention to that. This is but the beginning.
“Mr. Eyasan, this is Ma’am Solidad,” the head said as he motioned to woman in the front table. I couldn’t help but notice the number of the teachers in here. They are many indeed, really fit for a school this big. Mr. Dulnuan continued to introduce the teachers who would become my colleagues and finally left us to prepare for our classes. I looked at my first subject and saw. Philosophy 150, and I would deal with third year students. Hmm, not bad.
“Hi sir, so you’re the one who’s going to take my first, 4rth and last period? Good luck on that sir… must be a good thing for the students to meet a new one.” The teacher beside me said as she gave a cheerful smile. If I’m not mistaken this was the one named Brenda Gomez.
“Oh yes, it is a pleasure ma’am. It’s Brenda Gomez am I right ma’am?” I replied as I returned her smile.“Yup, that’s me. Hope you enjoy your class.” Just after she spoke those words we heard the bell ring.
“Yes, I will. Thank you ma’am.” I replied as I gathered my things. I have to go to my class now.
“Oh right, you have to go to class. It’s room 106, left wing sir.” She instructed as she smiled at me one more time, how cheerful. I nodded and went on to my class. I wonder who my students will be. A few minutes of walking and I finally reached the room. The class rose and greeted as I made way to the front. One student was sleeping in the back with her head on the table. I wonder who that is. The students took their seat and began to look at me with wonder.
“Good morning.” I greeted but my eyes we’re still fixed on the student at the back. Is she possibly hung over? On a Monday? The student slowly lifted her head as if waking from a deep sleep, and to my astonishment it wasn’t just a student.
Is that Johanna?
