In ten minuets, we were at the hospital. We chained up the bikes and Ellie brought us up to the hospital room. We stood outside of the door.
"Go." I said.
Josh nodded and went inside.
Ellie put her hand on my shoulder and asked if we could talk privately. She took me around the corner where no one would see us. She kissed me again and wrapped her hands around my neck. I pulled away.
"Tyler?"
"No. Not now." I said.
I walked back over to where everyone else was.
"What happened to her?" I asked.
"She, she was attacked." Jake said, sadly.
"By who?" I replied instantly.
"I don't know. The cops are looking for him."
"Did he-"
"No! Oh gosh no. She was stabbed."
My heart stopped and I fell to my knees. Jake bent down next to me.
"She's a fighter." He said. "She'll pull through."
"How can you be sure? The world is cruel." I replied.
I got up and walked into the room. Josh was knelt down next to the bed.
"Josh?" I asked.
He lifted his head, tears down his face. Then one of the machines let out a continuous ringing sound. She flat-lined. Doctors rushed in and Josh tried desperately to get to Rose.
"You need to leave." One said.
"C'mon Josh." I added, tugging at his arm.
I was able to pull him out of the room. He was crying hysterically. I put my hands on his shoulders.
"Look at me." I said. "She'll come back. I know it, Josh."
"Tyler." He said as he hugged me.
His arms were wrapped around me tightly. I put my arms around him too.
*Ellie's perspective, Friday*
I walked into the bathroom and took out the bloody knife that was in my hoodie. The only two people who know what I did are Rose and me. Hopefully, she'll die and the secret will be with me. No one will know. I washed the blood off of the knife and put it back inside my hoodie. Then I left the hospital and put the knife back in the drawer. I smiled at myself in the mirror. She loved Tyler but she can't love anyone anymore. The only girl I have to worry about now is Theresa. I'll do anything for Tyler.
*Josh's perspective*
My world came crashing down around me. This is my fault. I should've never let her walk away from me. I should've held her close and told her how much I loved her. I never even got to say goodbye. She was my everything. I'll kill whoever did this to her. I felt safe in Tyler's arms. As if I was floating away from all this pain in space. Whoever did this will pay. I don't care who they are.
One of the doctors stepped out of the room.
"I'm sorry to say this b-"
"I know." I fell to my knees before he even finished the sentence.
Tyler got down beside me and I curled up into a ball. I started gasping for air, I was drowning.
"Josh, breathe okay. Look at me, alright. Now breathe and count to ten okay?" He said.
The other guys started crying too.
After a few hours, Tyler walked me home. We stood at my door. I hugged him one last time.
"Thank you, Tyler." I said. "For staying alive."
I knew that he was battling suicide.
*Tyler's perspective*
How did he know about that?
I've never ever told him about what I was battling. There are more important things than that right now though. Someone needed me. Josh needed me. I needed him too.
