Hiccup awakes

So onto the chapter! :D

It had been about 3 days since the accident. Stoick and many others were waiting for him to wake up- even if that EMT JJ said otherwise. 

It was Sunday afternoon and Pastor Banke came to the hospital to see Hiccup and Stoick. 

He knocked on the door and Stoick said, "Come in Robert."

So Pastor Banke, or Pastor Bob as I will now refer to him as, walked in with a bible.

"Hello Stoick. How's Hiccup?"

"He's getting a bit better. How are you?"

"I'm okay. I brought a bulletin from today's service. I figured that you'd want to look at it." Bob said, handing it to Stoick. 

Stoick took it and read it. Inside was a special prayer for Hiccup's recovery. Stoick looked up at the pastor and said,"Thank you Pastor Bob. This is something that I needed."

Pastor Bob smiled and sat down,"I haven't seen you in church since Val's ....you know."

Stoick sadly nodded, "It's something that I regret. I regret many things that I have done since Val's death."

"Like what?"

"Most nights I get a bit depressed and I start drinking."

"Then you take it out on Hiccup?"

Stoick hung his head, "Yes. I've been a terrible father to him. Val would be so disappointed in how I treat our son."

Stoick then looked at the said boy, who was still unconscious. Pastor Bob put a hand on Stoick's shoulder. Stoick looked up.

"Stoick, you should know that Hiccup's been coming to church every week, every Thursday/Wednesday. For the past 7 years."

"He's just like his mother." Stoick whispered, placing a hand on Hiccup's head.

"Yes he is. I'll be back later." Pastor Bob said.

"Thank you."

"Your welcome." Pastor Bob said leaving the room.

....................

Later that night......

Stoick was drifting off to sleep when suddenly he heard,"No. I want my dad. Dad..."

Stoick bolted from his chair and called for Hiccup's doctor then he went to sit on the edge of the bed.

"Son? Can you hear me?"

Hiccup's eyes blinked opened and he looked around before laying his eyes on Stoick, "Dad?"

"Yes son. I'm here." Stoick said, brushing Hiccup's bangs off of his face.

That's when the doctor came in.

"It's good to see you awake Hiccup." the doctor said, checking some of the machines that Hiccup was on.

"I'm thirsty." Hiccup said slowly.

So the doctor got him a small glass of water. Then he handed it to him.

After Hiccup drank he asked, "Why can't I feel my left leg?"

The doctor and Stoick looked at each other.

"Hiccup. Your leg was heavily damaged in the accident. We - We had to amputate." the doctor said.

Hiccup pulled the covers back and was shocked still. His left leg from the knee down was gone. He sat back breathing heavily. 

"Son? Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I guess. I just need time to think this over."

With that the doctor and Stoick went to talk while Hiccup was thinking.

A few days later....

"Hey cousin. How be you?" Maggie said walking into the room.

"Oh hey Mags. I'm better. You?"

"Yeah. I'm good. I was worried about you."

"How did you find out?"

"Other than it was all over the news. I responded to the call."

"Oh." was Hiccup's only response.

Maggie walked over and sat down in her EMT gear being navy blue pants, polo type shirt and her navy blue fire dept. hat.

"So you on duty today?" Hiccup asked.

"Yeah. Just came in with a burn victim so I decided to stop by and see my favorite cousin." Maggie told him smiling.

"I thought that I was your only cousin?" Hiccup asked, grinning.

"Yeah but you're still my favorite." Maggie said as she grinned back.

Then Goose (that's his nickname) walked in. 

"Mags. We have to go. We've got a call."

"Coming. Well see you later Hiccup."

"See you Mags."

With that Hiccup was left in the room by himself. Before Stoick came in.

"The doctors say that you can come home in a few more days." Stoick reported.

Hiccup had asked Stoick to find out how much longer he would have to stay in the hospital with their bad food. (When I was 5 I had to stay in the hospital for 3 days cause I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and the food was bad.)

Hiccup smiled, "YES!"

That was my longest chapter so far on Wattpad......over 700 words.......Wow......

:D So what did you think? 

So tomorrow I will try to update 'My one and only love- HICCSTRID' but if I don't I will put up multiple chapters over the course of next week....
