Alice
After a quick stop at the Pokémon Center to heal up, all 30 remaining contestants headed toward Route 3 to continue their journey.
Alice walked next to Parker.
“I don't get it, Alice. How is it even possible for them to teleport?” asked a very confused Parker.
“I don't know. Don't think about it too much.” replied Alice.
“But I am an aspiring scientist! Am I not supposed to be curious?” asked Parker.
“Um, yeah, sure.” replied Alice, unsure of how to respond.
“Anyway, this route is very… hilly.” said Parker.
As if on cue, Alice tripped over a ledge and fell. “I’d say, more ledge-y.” Alice replied, laughing at herself.
“Hey, look everyone, I think I see Mount Moon ahead!” called Dara.
“Can't we just relax for a second? We just beat a gym leader.” whined Angie, sitting down.
“Actually, for once I agree with her.” said Cole.
“Fine, then. I don't like any of you anyways.” replied Dara.
The group uttered a loud sigh and all sat down quickly.
Dara stood awkwardly. “Um, well then, don’t want to make you wait!” she yelled, sitting down on the ground quickly. A few people rolled their eyes.
Alice slowly shuffled over towards Hale, Vera, and Breeze. “So, guys. How are you?” asked Alice, trying to start some kind of conversation.
“Pretty good, considering we got our first gym badge.” replied Hale, completely serious.
“I mean, yeah. Great. With the badge and all.” added Vera hesitantly.
Alice spoke to Breeze. “So, what have you been up to?”
“Oh, nothing much. Same as all of you. Gym badge and whatever. A little bit of training thrown in.” Breeze stared sadly at the Poké Ball containing her Rattata. “I wish I would have picked up one of those Pidgey, though. I really do want more flying types, what with my dad being a flying type trainer and all.”
“Yeah, I guess.” replied Alice, shrugging.
“So, you all good over here?” asked Gemma, moving toward their group.
“Yeah, we are so great.” answered Hale for the group.
“Okay, great. I was just wondering because of you.” Gemma looked at Vera. “You looked kind of sad before.” "No, I'm good." replied Vera.
“Oh, really? Are you sure? Because if there’s anything I can do, I…”
“No.” Vera interrupted Gemma. “Please. Sorry for snapping, it’s just kind of a personal subject. Someone approached me about it, and I kind of freaked out.” Vera explained and apologized at the same time.
“Who?” asked Alice.
“Just leave me alone about it, gosh!” snapped Vera angrily.
