Asher
"Asher. Asher, wake up! Aaasheeerrr... It's your biiig daaay!" Asher opened his eyes. "Ugh... what do you want, dad?" Chili smiled. "Don't you remember? Today you start your challenge." "Just let me go back to sleep..." said Asher groggily. "No way! I'm going to pester you until you get up!" Chili yelled somewhat obnoxiously. "Ugh..." groaned Asher again, finally stepping out of his bed. "Asher, seriously man, what took you so long?" asked Chili. As usual, he was punctual and ready to cook, wearing a white apron around his signature black waiter uniform. His hair looked like it was on fire. 'I don't know dad... just leave me alone!" yelled Asher. "Oh, come on, you really don't mean that, do you? Besides, if I hadn't woken you up, who knows what everyone would have said about your Jigglypuff pajamas!" Asher's face turned as red as his father's hair. He rushed back into his room to change as Chili started laughing.
Frizzy
Frizzy walked into her mother's closet, dreading what could possibly happen next. "Oh, Frizzy! You're awake! Today is the big day! You are in a competition! This is so exciting! Let's get you dressed!" exclaimed Elesa excitedly. Frizzy sighed. This was exactly what she was dreading. Her mother, being a model, would always get her dressed up in the most revealing clothes possible. She said it was to get Frizzy "noticed". "So, about your hair... it needs to be... more sunny." proclaimed Elesa. "I have it! Sun shaped hair... yellow in the front but orange in the back... a citrus orange sports bra, and tight jean short shorts! Ha! You'll be the talk of the lab!" Elesa ranted, throwing random clothes at Frizzy. "Now, let's try them on!" Frizzy sighed and prepared herself for more torture.
Gemma
Gemma sat at her laptop, finishing up her research on the Kanto region. Her mother, Roxanne, walked in. "So, are you done yet, Gemma?" she asked curiously. "I think so. I'm all Kantoed out. I wish they hosted this competition in Hoenn." said Gemma sadly. "Then it would be too easy to win! Come on Gemma, you need a little bit of a challenge!" joked Roxanne. "Says the first gym leader." retorted Gemma. "Hey! Go outside before you hurt any more feelings!" exclaimed Roxanne jokingly. "Fine." Gemma said, walking out. She stepped outside the gym and saw an all too familiar sight. Brendan and May, the snobby children of the gym leader Norman, were standing outside, talking about the competition. "Okay, so we are clearly going to win this competition. It's just 29 idiots standing between us and our prize." said Brendan confidently. "Yeah, it is, like, soooooo obvious that we are going to beat all the other people." said May snobbishly. "Who shall be our first victim?" she asked. "Well, I don't know. There are many possibilities. We probably have to get rid of the people that live in Hoenn - they know our demeanor - so we try to get rid of Mack, Heather, and Gemma... other people could be threats too." ranted Brendan. Gemma glared. They weren't getting rid of her anytime soon.
Simpson
A boy with spiky blond hair, a checkered blue suit and tie, and glasses walked out of the Goldenrod City radio tower. A short blonde-haired girl with a blue dress walked up to him. "So, Simpson, are we ready to ride yet?" she asked. "Just about, Breeze." replied Simpson, taking out his PokePad to check on the Magnet Train's arrival. "Oh, how wonderful. I was getting quite bored." commented a girl with blue hair and a Dratini sweater. Simpson glared. "I can't control when the train arrives, Clara. Sorry." commented an annoyed Simpson. "Oh, both of you be quiet." came the voice of a girl with a brown braid and a gray sweatshirt with an emerald ensign. "An excellent idea, Minnie. I was just about to say that myself." commented Clara indifferently. Breeze shot her a glare, silencing the sarcastic girl. "Oh, the train is here." announced Simpson, ending the conversation. "Noooo. I totally didn't hear it coming or anything." muttered Clara. "Shut up." retorted Minnie.
