Let's say you want to write? You want to know how to write well. You sit down and try to write, but think you suck and look up how to write. But you read an article about writing and the author says 'this is the right way to write, and the only way'. But then later you learn and find there is no right way to write. So that is what I am here to say.

Writing doesn't have rules set in stone. There are basics though. With fiction the three really basic, broad basics are; Beginning, Middle, and End. But the specifics are; exposition, rising actions, climax, falling actions, resolution. Other important basics are spelling and grammar. Both can make or break if people will like your story. Oh, and of course how descriptive you are.

The exposition would include introducing characters, setting, and maybe conflict. The rising actions would be the conflict starting and fall into place. The climax is, of course, where the conflict is resolved. The falling actions are what happens afterward, consequences and what happens as a result of the conflict being solved, the guy gets the girl, the monster is defeated, a teenager makes friends, a club wins the robotics competition. The resolution is where the story wraps up, the scene is closed, everyone is safe or happy(or they are sad, it depends).

Now don't take everyone's advice to heart. What they do may not work for you. So just observe, and experiment.Combine advice, create a beautiful writing piece. Or just write what you want to. The best advice someone can give you is to read. With what has been said being said go write! Although, don't be forceful. I know many people tell you to force yourself to write, but I don't think you really should. When I did that, it only made it worse and it is more than likely to make you really hate your writing and take longer to get out of your block. Don't force yourself to write, but do create a pace for your writing / create a scheduled time to write.

Although I gave advice, don't take it completely to heart. You can follow it, or you can leave it. The choice is up to you!
