Tyler's POV
-
I stood behind my keyboard with my fingers slowly gliding onto the notes. I played the piano softly to the intro of my song I written called trees. Staring off into space taking in a shallow breath.

"One- two three, four!" Josh lightly hits  onto the drums, as we begin our song.

"..I know, where you stand." I pull away from the microphone looking into the empty studio. Playing the song in a much slower version.

"Silent, in the trees.." My thoughts were possessed as I get a flashback of her scars.

"And that's, where I am," I looked at the ground.

"Silent in the trees,"  playing the notes just right hearing my voice echo.

"Why won't you speak," why doesn't she tell me what's really going on.

"Where I happen to be," my voice shakes during this line causing josh to glance towards me. He worries so much.

I kept my eyes low, "Silent in the trees-"

"standing cowardly" Josh pounds into drums as the music becomes louder,

"I can feel, your breath."

"I can feel, mmy death," I twitched thinking as I felt the drums vibrate beside me.

"I want to knoww, you"  I tighten my eyes shut.

"I want to seeeee"

"I want to sayyyyyy--"

"Hello." My throat gave up, leaving my voice shaky again. I kept my eyes onto the piano playing and josh stops drumming.

I looked up at him and stopped playing too, "hey! what are you doing?" I asked confused. Why did he stop?

He gives me a sideways smile,  "what's up tyler?" He asks sitting on his chair in front of the drums still. I look at him blankly, "rehearsing."

"I know that tyler. But I'm serious, is something up?" He asks tucking his drumsticks in his backpocket as he stood up.

I swallowed not knowing what to say. I just shrug, "you know what josh.. that's the thing" I get off my seat away from the piano.

His eyes followed me as I grabbed for my water bottle on the ground. I stop in my tracks looking at him, "I don't know what's wrong." I shook my head.

Josh gets off the drum set and grabs his  bottle too. "Well there has to be something for the something." He spoke soothingly. I exhale tired.

Putting my head down, "I know but.. it's all over the place how I feel." Shaking my head.

Josh pouts. After a minute of just drinking some water and standing josh looks at me funny.

"What?" I ask.

"I know what it is." He smirks.

"Uhh.. What?" I question while confused. He curled his eyebrows.

"You're hangry aren't you?" He spoke.

I was about to say something but I seal my lips together blinking, shaking my head, ".. .. What?.."

"Hangry," he says again. I raise my eyebrows, "josh what the hell is hangry?" He looks at me as if I already knew.

"It's angry and hungry combined." He nods with a chuckle. I began to grin. He knows my weak spots.

"Do I look hungry to you?!" I exclaimed. "Well I don't know bout you but I'm feeling hangry as fudge." He shook his head.
