Chapter One

Niall Horan______________
~3 years later~

"Kaylee, time to eat." I called setting her plastic Cinderella plate with a peanut butter sandwich, grapes, and animal crackers. Apple juice on the side.

Kaylee didn't move she just sat on the floor slowly playing with some dolls she had.

"Kaylee." I called again, trying again.

Shit, shit, shit, shit!

I ran over to Kaylee and got in front of her.

"Kaylee, baby, are you hungry?" She slowly looked up at me. "Do you here daddy, do you fill okay?"
She picked up her toy and handed it to me. "Are you sleepy baby?"
Kaylee, then, grabbed my thumbs in her own two hands smiling until that smile fell and she began to stare at me moving her lips a bit.
I let her stare for about 30 seconds and then she began to move again.

"Kaylee." I say. "Are you back?"

She let go of my hands and picked up her two Barbees again.

"Okay." I stand up with her in my arms."Lets go down for a nap."

After a seizure Kamryn or I always put her to sleep so she could wake up rested and fully aware of her surroundings.

I carried her to her room and laid her down in her pink and yellow flower bed.

"Daddy?" Kaylee asks after I lay down beside her.

"Yes?"
"Where's my food?" She asks with a toothy smile, and I had to laugh.

"You remember that much." I chuckle."let's go to sleep for now, food when you wake up."

I didn't bother to get a book knowing she'd be out like a light in less then a minute.

Just like I expected she crawled up beside me and closed her eyes, falling asleep a few seconds later.

Poor baby, I wish it were me.

I kissed her and slowly got out of her bed to text Kamryn.

Niall: Kaylee had a seizure.

She didn't respond right off so I went to the kitchen to eat my lunch consisting of a sandwich, grapes, and protein shake.
I had originally planned to eat this with my little girl, but sadly certain things get in the way...

After I sat down my phone buzzed before I could take the first bite.

Kamryn👶🏼🤰🏼: Oh no, is she okay?

Niall: Yeah, I just put her down for a nap.

Kamryn👶🏼🤰🏼How did it happen?

Niall: She was on the floor playing with her dolls and I called her for lunch. She didn't turn around or respond so I went over to her and eventually she grabbed my thumbs and had it.

Kamryn👶🏼🤰🏼: Okay, thanks for telling me!
