"Yeah Remm!" I cheered when Remmi kicked the ball in the goal.

I signed Remmi up for a little kid indoor soccer team a couple months ago, and he absolutely loved it. He had a game about every Thursday, so Louis often came with me to see his games.
I'm so thankful for a friend who loves both my kids just as much as I do.
He's like their other dad.

"Hey bro." I smiled when he sat down beside on the cold bleacher.

"Hey, no Kaylee today?"

"No, it was her cousin's birthday party today so she stayed with Kam for an extra night." I informed not taking my eye off of Remmi.

"Kam?"
"Yeah."

"So you're back to that." I looked at my brunette friend to see him smirking.

"Huh?"

"You once told me that you would never use that nickname for her ever again." Louis chuckled, I just rolled my eyes ignoring the silly fact.

"GO REMMI!" I shouted as he kicked the ball into the small goal. "He's gonna be a pro one day."

"How are you guys doing by the way?"

"We're...good." I bit my lip. "We have a mutual New Years resolution."

"Oh yeah, what's that? No more unprotected sex?" Louis nudged me.

"Alright Mr. Pregnancy scare." I shot back.

"Shut up, what's the resolution?" Louis rolled his eyes, instantly changing the subject.

"To get along better for Kaylee." I smiled

"Oh my god!" Louis groaned.
"What?"
"Are you guys blind?"
"What do you mean?"
"You guys have already been doing that!"
"Well, good." I shrugged.

"It's cringeworthy to watch you guys droll over each other and not do anything about it." Louis stole a few bites from my popcorn bucket.

"What the hell does that mean?" I asked, a bit offended.

"Get back together already, quit beating around the bush."

"Louis, it's not like th-"
"You had sex on New Years and I know it."
"No-"
"Yes you did." He raised his eyebrows.
"We d-"

"Niall please." He tilted his head not loosing any eye contact.

"It's was jus-"
"Niall."
"Fine." I crossed my arms in defeat "we did try."

"Knew it." Louis smiled. "Take her out on a date, before someone else does."

"What do you mean?"

"Dude, if you don't step up your game, another guy is gonna get her again." He shrugged.

For some reason that really hit me in the gut. I don't want Kamryn to be with anyone else.

She's mine.

"Momma." Kaylee pointed at the gushers on the shelf to the left of us.

I was standing in a checkout line at Publix on a rainy Wednesday night. Kaylee was supposed to be with Niall twenty minutes ago, this long line was promoting that fact, making me even more late then I already am. Yay.
