6 months later ~I'm so sorry I'm late but I doubt anyone cares~

Dean searched through the crowd of black and maroon. The moment that he had clung to in daydreams for days and hours and minutes.

By now he felt like his head was burning because of the black cap perched on his head. Why did we have to do this stupid ceremony outside?

Dean really just wanted to get his certificate in the mail but then he wouldn't know how to get ahold of Cas. He never found out where he lived really... but the dumb, long ceremony would be worth it.

Because now all he could think about is the chick flicks he'd seen.

Spotting Cas's eyes across the room, sprinting dramatically until he could hold Cas in his arms and kiss him... though there wouldn't be applause. It was still what held him together the past months of guilt, self loathing and trying to stay under the radar of the sociopath that is Tate.

People were hugging and taking pictures in groups of families and friends, spreading all around the outside perimeter of the school. Some were under trees planted on manicured lawns, others on the concrete or nearing the parking lot.

Sammy was still in his own last day of school, and Dean had forced him not to worry about his graduation.

So, in conclusion, there Dean was searching through a crowd of smiling people, desperate to find Cas and hopelessly alone.

That is until a hand tapped on his shoulder. Dean immediately spun around to see none other than Castiel Novak.

He held himself with a hesitance Dean could relate in. 'Does the offer still stand?' Was a silent burning question between them.

"Hello Dean." Were the first words spread across those lips Dean definitely did not get to kiss enough.

"Heya, Cas." Dean breathed out. They stood shock shelled and probably awkwardly to anyone standing from the outside.

"I... um-- do-do you want to go somewhere private?" Cas stuttered adorably as his cheeks blushed a light pink.

Dean just nodded with a lop sided smile and held onto Cas's hand as they started to walk.

Dean had been feeling so embarrassed by how he was failing his own day dreams, but the movement of holding Cas's hand was definitely the right one when Cas ducked his head and grinned.

They soon broke through the school doors to air conditioned, empty walls.

"Is your family here?"
Dean wanted to slap himself for the cluster of words that spewed out.

Cas just nodded and let his long eyelashes fall onto his cheekbones shyly. "They're probably searching for me."

"Oh well-- I..." God, just spit it out you dork!, Dean told himself. "I'm still game."

Cas locked his bright eyes onto Deans as a half smile played on his face.

"You know," Dean cleared his throat uncomfortably. "Ride into the sunset,
and sail off the cliff..."

Castiel gave him the biggest smile possible. And Dean felt his lips reciprocate.

"Of course."
