Peeta's Point of View

It's 15 minutes to the bell and I decide to have a quick cigarette and think over what's been going on with Katniss and my new 'friends'. I remember when I was the loner of the school. It was easier to have no friends. Easier to go through everyday and not be continuously thinking about one person. Easier to go through school getting beaten up everyday by proper people instead of one girl continuously clenching and twisting my heart.

"Hey Peeta, You left pretty quickly last night." Finnick says coming up with a fag between his fingers.

"You guys obviously had stuff you needed to talk about that you all know the back story and I just would have held you back from helping her." I say

"Dude she was asking for you all night. Even in her sleep." Finnick says stubbing his cigarette out as the bell rang.

"Wait, how do you know what she was saying in her sleep?" I say slightly pissed.

"We all stayed over to make sure she was ok. She started crying after you left and then she passed out."

"Oh. Is she ok?"

"Yeah she is coming in to school today if that's what you wanted to know"

"Finnick can I ask you something?" I say as we walk to class.

"No you cannot. You two should be in class." A teacher says walking behind us.

"Talk to you at lunch." Finnick says walking towards his homeroom.

---time skip to after school--/

"Right Peeta we need to talk." Finnick says walking up with Cato and Clove flanking his sides.

"What's up?" I say putting my bag on the other shoulder

"Right the girl." Finnick begins instantly catching my attention.

"Let me tell it please please please." Clove says begging.

"Ok you do know most about it." Finnick says

"Ok so there was this girl. Her name was Madge. She was a class A slut. Her and Katniss were always in competition with school work. They were best friends for a while. They were almost like sisters. They looked alike. They were the most popular girls in the school. And then one night at a party it all went down hill. Katniss really liked Finnick. Like she really really really liked him..."

"Yeah we get it she liked Finnick carry on." I say cutting off her story

"Shh I was talking. Ok so at one of Katniss's famous party's Madge met this girl that used to be Katniss's friend. Her name was Delly. Katniss and Delly fell out because Katniss stole Delly'a boyfriend. So at Katniss's party Madge and Delly got together and well they got to Finnick's drink and well had him making out with Madge in front of Katniss after having him confess feelings to Katniss. It broke her heart. And she got transferred to an all girls military school for the bad. When she came back she found out that people started saying she was a slut and stuff so to get her reputation back well guys started taking advantage of her. Of course we all wee still her best friends. But we'll ermm yeah she has always been really close with Finnick and now well ermm she try's not to acknowledge her feeling for Finnick are more than feelings for a brother. But we all know they are there." Clove finishes
