"Can I lay by your side, next to you?"

Laying in bed staring at the ceiling, I wonder what you're doing, who you're talking to, where you are, what you're thinking about. Are you thinking about me? It's dreadful not knowing if the person you love misses you the way you miss them; but with every passing moment, my heart tells me you do.
Waiting for the moment I can grab you and kiss you is a struggle for me too. I want you to be accessible. I want to be able to just kiss you whenever I want, everyday 25/8....but I'll wait. 3 years from now I will take your name and we'll be with each other 365 days a year. If I broke that down, you'd be amazed how much time we'd be spending together.
As I lay in this bed and type you this chapter, I hold back my tears of loneliness. I want to lay in your arms and fall asleep to your heart beat. The inflation and deflation of your chest as you breath. I can't wait for the day I get to say I do, but for now, I'll keep waiting.
